Bradley W. Brown

BEEKMANTOWN -- Mr. Bradley W. Brown, 22, of the Jersey Swamp Road, Beekmantown, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility in Burlington, Vt. He was born in Plattsburgh on July 4, 1983, the son of Richard and Terri (Facteau) Brown. At the time of his death, he was employed by Clark P. Ray Electrical Services in Keeseville. Bradley enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseshoes, playing cards and playing softball. He had been a member Peru Rod and Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy (Dubrey) Brown of Beekmantown; his daughter Makayla at home; his mother, Terri Mulcahy and her husband Joseph of Charleston, S.C.; his father, Richard "Lefty" Brown and his wife Phyllis Ann of Plattsburgh; his maternal grandparents, William and Betty Facteau of Charleston, S.C.; his paternal grandparents, William and Carol Brown of Plattsburgh; a brother, Michael Brown and his companion Tammy of Hinesburg, Vt.; four stepsisters, Kristina and Brittany Wyman of Charleston, S.C.; Katie and Kimberly Brown of Plattsburgh; his nephews, Owen and Carter Brown, Adam and Sam Dubrey-Wisniewski, all of Plattsburgh; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church.

Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.

Charles F. Jacques Sr.

CHAZY LAKE -- Charles F. "Bug House" Jacques Sr., 74, (AKA The Politician) of Chazy Lake and formerly of Cohoes, went to rest Thursday, May 4, 2006, at his son's home after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. Born and educated in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Armstrong and Emily (Teal) Jacques.

Charlie was a correction officer at the Albany County Sheriff's Department for 22 years, before retiring in 1989.

In 1993, he relocated to Chazy Lake, N.Y., where be spent most of his time fishing. Charlie was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country during the Korean Conflict.

He was a member of the Lyon Mountain American Legion and the Ellenburg Veteran of Foreign Wars. He was a former member of the Cohoes American Legion, Men's Association of Cohoes High School and the Cohoes Democratic Committee.

Brother of the late Bill O'Connor and David Jacques of Cohoes. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne (Evertsen) Jacques of Chazy Lake; four sons, Charles F. Jacques Jr. and his wife Sherry of Cohoes, Brian Jacques and his wife Tracy of Elmira, N.Y., Scott Jacques of Latham and Mark Jacques of Chazy Lake; his brother, Armstrong "Jake" Jacques of Halfmoon; his sister, Marie Oliver of Cohoes; his five grandchildren, Stacie, Stephanie, Ashley of Cohoes, Tyler and Mariah of Clifton Park; his great-grandchild, Anthony; his two very special friends, Stephanie Pohley and Brandy Burch. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 a.m. in the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd. Cohoes.

Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Beryl M. Frost

FISHERS, IND. -- Beryl M. Frost, 81, passed away on May 4, 2006, after a brief illness. Born Oct. 2, 1924, in Northumberland, N.H., Beryl was the daughter of the late Earl and Vera (Fuller) Fogg.

Beryl was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Frederick H. Frost, who passed away in April 2005.

After raising a family in Plattsburgh, N.Y., Fred and Beryl retired to The Villages in Lady Lake, Fla., in 1989, moving to Fisher, Ind., in late 2003.

Her son Brian of Fishers, Ind.; her daughter Kimberly of Austin, Texas; and her granddaughter, Colleen of Fishers, Ind., survive Beryl.

Memorial services will be held at Flanner Buchanan Funeral Center-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, on Monday, May 8, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. There will be no visitation.

S. William Nadeau

TICONDEROGA -- S. William Nadeau, 78, of Burgoyne Road, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2006, at the Moses-Ludington Hospital of Ticonderoga.

Born in Ticonderoga, Dec. 14, 1927, he was the son of the late Norman and Pearl (Denno) Nadeau.

Mr. Nadeau was a lifelong resident of Ticonderoga. He was a self-employed farmer in Ticonderoga for many years. He was also employed by International Paper Company of Ticonderoga for 13 years.

Mr. Nadeau was a member of the New York State National Guard.

He was affectionately known by his grandchildren as "Pa Pa".

He was predeceased by one son, Michael Nadeau; one daughter, Laura Nadeau; one sister, Norma Barber; and one brother, Ronnie Nadeau.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Patricia B. (Thompson) Nadeau; his 10 children, Suzanne Nadeau of Branson, Fla., Sam William Nadeau and his wife Marlene of Malone, Douglas Nadeau of Ticonderoga, Randy Nadeau of Hague, Donald Nadeau of Disputanta, Va., Mark Nadeau and his wife Lori Alteri of Ticonderoga, Janice Olcott and her husband Kenny of Ticonderoga, Judy LaBounty of Ticonderoga, Marianne Olcott of Ticonderoga, and Sara Kurtz and her husband Matt of Addison, Vt.; five sisters, Donna Leavens of Ticonderoga, Barbara Reeb of Ticonderoga, Cecile Evans of Essex, Katherine Charboneau of Ticonderoga and Sheila Witherbee of Ticonderoga; and one brother, Norman Nadeau of Kinderhook. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren, including Alyssa and Azia; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga. The Rev. William G. Muench, pastor, will officiate.

The Rite of Committal will follow at the family plot of the Mt. Hope Cemetery of Ticonderoga.

Theodore F. LaPier

PLATTSBURGH -- Mr. Theodore F. "Ted" LaPier, 86, of Oak Street, Plattsburgh, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at the CVPH Medical Center with his family by his side.

He was born in West Chazy, N.Y., on April 22, 1920, the son of Walter and Margaret (Lucia) LaPier.

Ted was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He received numerous commendations including the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He worked at Pal Blade where he was Union President until the plant closed. He then worked at Plattsburgh Air Force Base as Engine Manager from 1956 until his retirement in 1982. Ted enjoyed gardening, doing needlepoint and rug making. His greatest joy was being with his family. He was a member of St. Peter's Church.

Ted was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Margaret LaPier; his wife, Margaret LaPier who passed away Dec. 18, 2005; a grandson, Benjamin Austin Lacki; several brothers and sisters, Arthur, Walter, Bernard, Raymond, Francis, Orville, Gerald, Newell "Edward", Eva Sheridan, Gertrude Fifield and Margaret Hebert.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Dr. Richard Lacki of Plattsburgh; three sons, Theodore LaPier Jr. and his wife Patrcia of Ashville, N.C., Bryan LaPier and his wife Joan of Plattsburgh, Dr. Terrence LaPier PhD. and his wife Meredith of Georgetown, Washington D.C.; a sister, Audrey Bullriss and her husband Willard of West Chazy; four grandchildren, Marlene Tucker, Elizabeth LaPier, Brenden LaPier and Elliott Lacki; two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Caroline Tucker; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 to 11:40 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at noon at St. Peter's Church. Interment for Ted and his wife Margaret will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.

Friends wishing may make donations to the Emmaus Room at St. Peter's Church.

THELMA (CURREN) GOFF, 96, of 40 Goff Rd., Lewis, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, with her family by her side.

She was born in Willsboro, N.Y., on Dec. 21, 1909, the daughter of Arthur and Amy (Peterson) Curren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are with W.M. Marvin's Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.

JAMES F. MAGUIRE, 78, of Route 30, Malone, N.Y., died Thursday, May 4, 2006, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, a patient there since May 2. He had been under the care of his family and Hospice of the North Country at home.

He was born in Malone on Feb. 10, 1928, the son of the late Culliton and Clara (Seymour) Maguire.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 until 11:45 a.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at noon at St. Joseph's Church in Malone. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery on the Lake Titus Road in Malone.
