James "Corky" F. Wallingford Sr.PORT HENRY -- James F. Wallingford, known as Corky to his friends, and as "Wally" to his brothers in corrections, passed away peacefully at home on April 27, 2006, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Vicki (Fahey) Wallingford; and three children, Johnathon Robert Wallingford of Port Henry, Kimberly Ann DeMarco of Schenectady and James F. Wallingford Jr. of Schenectady. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Shianne Rose Wallingford; and a favorite aunt, Bessie Vargo and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth Ann Vargo Ellers and his father, James Wallingford. James proudly worked for the New York State Department of Corrections for 13 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, canoeing, camping and being with his family and friends. Calling hours will be on Monday, May 1st, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harland Funeral Home, Main Street, Port Henry and graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 2, at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family requests all to attend a reception at the King's Inn in Port Henry following the graveside service. Memorial donations may be made to High Peaks Hospice in Port Henry. William L. FarrellELIZABETHTOWN -- William L. Farrell, 69, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Elizabethtown Community Hospital, Elizabethtown, N.Y. He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., Sept. 10, 1936, the son of Edward and Martha (Denton) Farrell. Bill was employed by Grand Union Company for many years; a member of the Elizabethtown Town Board Council for 19 years; the Elizabethtown Fire Department for 47 years; the Elizabethtown Kiwanis, American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Donna (Tyler) Farrell; one daughter, Wendy Farrell of Seattle, Wash.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Patrick Farrell of Lewis, Scott and Crystal Farrell of Lewis; three grandsons, Kyle O'Kusky, Hunter Farrell, Noah Farrell; one sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Spencer Egglefield of Elizabethtown; one sister-in-law, Dorrine Farrell; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John Farrell. Calling hours will be Monday, May 1, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at W.M. Marvin's Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. There will be a funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth's Church in Elizabethtown on Tuesday, May 2, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the Elizabethtown Fire Department.
