Laura L. RosioAUSABLE FORKS, N.Y./CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. -- Laura L. Rosio, 69, formerly of AuSable Forks, died Sunday, April 23, 2006, at the Cypress Cove Care Facility in Crystal River, Fla., surrounded by family and friends. Laura was born Nov. 7, 1936, the daughter of Reuben and Grace (Throng) LaFountain. She was born and raised in AuSable Forks and graduated from AuSable Forks High School in 1955. She was married on June 16, 1955, to her life long love Raymond Rosio. She and her husband owned and operated L&R Video Plus in AuSable Forks until 1997 when they moved to Crystal River to retire. Laura was an avid reader and writer and also enjoyed flea markets, board games, playing cards and bingo. During her stay at Cypress Cove she helped to start many social activities and events for the other residents. She had also recently become a member of the Red Hat Society. She will be forever remembered and missed by all her family and friends. She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Raymond Rosio of Crystal River; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Sue Rosio of AuSable Forks and Kevin and Edie Rosio of Crystal River; four grandchildren, Alyssa and Nicole Rosio of AuSable Forks and Jayson and Tiffany Rosio of Crystal River; one great-grandson, Drake Rosio of Crystal River; one brother, Charles LaFountaine of AuSable Forks; and two sisters, Joann David of Plattsburgh and Christine LaDuke of Peasleeville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and two special friends, Anna Anderson and Ruth Edwards of Inglis, Fla. She was predeceased by her parents, Reuben and Grace; one brother, Arleigh LaFountain; and one sister, Mary Doner. Wilder Funeral Home in Homasasa, Fla., is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the Cypress Cove Care Facilities Activities Department. Marian Elizabeth DonahLAKELAND, FLA. -- Marian Elizabeth Donah of Lakeland, Fla., died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at Wedgewood Center in Lakeland, Fla. Born in Peru, N.Y., March 23, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophia Russell. She was predeceased by her husband, John Thomas Donah. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Suzanne and Leonard Peets and Marianne and Bruce Thomas of Lakeland, Fla.; two sons and their wives, Thomas and Donna Donah and Kevin and Carleen Donah of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; one brother, Wallace Russell of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Thursday, April 27, 2006. Leona R. CranePLATTSBURGH -- Mrs. Leona R. Crane, 82, of Plattsburgh passed away Sunday, April 23, 2006, at the CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Plattsburgh on Dec. 14, 1923, the daughter of Charles and Rose (Giroux) Daniels. Leona worked at the Champlain Valley Hospital. She then went to work for and retired from SUNY Plattsburgh after 25 years of service. Leona was an avid bowler and was bowling in the North Country Mixed Bowling League until the time of her death. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Rose Daniels; her husband, William H. Crane; a son, William G. Crane; a daughter, Patricia McGrath; and a brother, Ernest Daniels. Leona is survived by a son, Barry L. Crane and his long time companion Marlene Delaney; a grandson, Casey Mellen whom she raised from infancy; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Russell (Shirley) Daniels, Dennis (Marlene) Daniels, Jerry (Susan) Daniels, Floyd (Evelyn) Daniels, Clifford Daniels and Armand Daniels; her sister, Faith Moffler, Mrs. Pauline (John) Claymore, Theresa Mullen and Elsie Bellows; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home. Interment will be in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends wishing may make donations to the American Diabetes Association.

PEARL Y. RUSSO, 69, of Chestertown, N.Y., died Sunday, April 23, 2006, at the Glens Falls Hospital. She was born Aug. 2, 1936, at Port Henry, N.Y., the daughter of Joseph and Helena (Blanchard) Forgette. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Port Henry.
