Adrienne Phyllis Orlick

FORT COVINGTON -- Adrienne Phyllis Orlick, 60, of Donovan Road, Fort Covington, died Saturday, April 22, 2006, at her home, under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country.

Born in Manhattan on Dec. 28, 1945, she was the daughter of Leon and Ruth (Newman) Orlick.

Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at the Chateaugay Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Funeral Home chapel.

Burial will take place at Brainardsville Cemetery, Brainardsville.

Marie D. Higgins

PLATTSBURGH -- Mrs. Marie D. Higgins, 68, of Oswego Lane, Cumberland Head, died unexpectedly April 22, 2006, at CVPH Medical Center.

She was born in Plattsburgh on Feb. 2, 1938, the daughter of Fred and Valeda (Lajoie) Duval. A dedicated mother and grandmother, Marie enjoyed watching her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed sports. She was a charter member of St. Mary's of the Lake Church.

Marie was predeceased by her parents, her husband, William "Bill" Higgins, and a son-in-law, Paul Titherington.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Higgins and his wife, Sharyl, of Sacketts Harbor, and Martin Higgins of Boston, Mass; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kim Titherington of Plattsburgh, and Kerry Bushey and her husband, Daniel, of Plattsburgh; her brother John Duval; eight granddaughters, Sarah, Lori, Lisa and Katie Titherington, Kaile, Alexis and Lindsey Bushey, and Meghan Higgins; a grandson, Evan Higgins; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. from St. Mary's of the Lake Church, Cumberland Head.

Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Mary's of the Lake Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Oliver L. Soulia

PERU -- Oliver L. Soulia, 82, of Telegraph Road, Peru, died Saturday, April 22, 2006, at his home, under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country.

He was born in Lewis on Feb. 24, 1924, the son of John B. and Gertrude (Denton) Soulia.

He married Blanche M. Busha on Feb. 22, 1944, at St. John's Church in Keeseville. She predeceased him on Saturday, July 15, 2000.

Oliver served in the United States Army during World War II. He entered on March 8, 1944, and was honorably discharged on Jan. 20, 1946. He was an ironworker for VanDorn of Cleveland, Ohio, and Murnane Associates in Plattsburgh for many years. Oliver was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Keeseville and a member of the Eugene G. Santor Knights of Columbus #469 in Keeseville. He enjoyed farming and his family. Oliver enjoyed visiting and will be fondly remembered for his quiet, unassuming way with people and his quick wit. He was rarely seen without his smile.

Survivors include his two daughters, Judy Riley of Kansas and Sandra Ashline of West Chazy; two sons, John Soulia of Peru, his fiancee, Evelyn Brown, and her daughter, Ashley, both of Plattsburgh, and Terry and Barbara Soulia of Peru; one sister, Lucille Parsons of Peru; one brother and sister-in-law, Sheridan and Grace Soulia of Plattsburgh; one half-brother and his spouse, Peter and Joanne Brelia, of Maryland; one half-sister and her spouse, Josie and Gary Howard of Peru and Florida; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also predeceased by his parents, one son, Wayne Soulia; his stepfather, Hartwell Brelia; and a sister, Mary LaBounty.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 25,2006, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville. Members of the Knights of Columbus will meet at the Funeral Home for a 7 p.m. service. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church in Keeseville with Msgr. Leeward J. Poissant, pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery with military honors accorded by the Military Forces Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Oliver's memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country or Immaculate Conception Church.

Deaths: 04/24/06

HENRY T. WOLOSZ, 91, of Cogan Avenue, Plattsburgh died Saturday, April 22, 2006, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Queens.

Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
