Alfred D. Rovelli Sr.TICONDEROGA -- Alfred D. Rovelli Sr., 79, of Lord Howe Street, and most recently of the Inter-Lakes Nursing Home of Ticonderoga, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2006, at the Moses-Ludington Hospital of Ticonderoga. Born in Whitehall, Dec. 18, 1926, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Pauline (DiNucci) Rovelli. Mr. Rovelli has been a resident of Ticonderoga since 1950, when he moved here from Whitehall. He was employed by the A&P Market of Ticonderoga as produce manager for many years. He was then employed by Moses-Ludington Hospital of Ticonderoga as a security guard. Mr. Rovelli was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga and a member of the St. Isaac Jogues Council 333, 4th Degree, Knights of Columbus of Ticonderoga. He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred Anna (Priest) Rovelli, on Sept. 6, 1999; and also by his daughter, Rosemary Jane Daniels, on March 7, 2006. Survivors include three daughters, Paula Buckman and her husband Michael of Ticonderoga, Diane Henry and Dale of Ticonderoga and Angela Rovelli and her companion Tyrone Rabideau Jr. of Mooers, N.Y.; one son, Alfred D. Rovelli Jr. of Searsport, Maine; and one brother, Michael Rovelli Sr. and his wife Antoinette of Whitehall. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga. The Rev. William G. Muench, pastor, will officiate. The Rite of Committal will take place at the family plot of Our Lady of Angels Cemetery of Whitehall at a later date. Lester J. DesrocherPLATTSBURGH -- Lester J. Desrocher, 76, of Russell Bernard Apartments died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Plattsburgh on Aug. 17, 1929, the son of Lester and Catherine (Beshon) Desrocher. Les enjoyed camping on his special "knoll" at Donaldson's Campground on Upper Saranac Lake. He was never happier than in the boat with fishing pole in hand. He also liked hunting and card playing. His last employment was at Rambach's Bakery for 17 years. Lester is survived by his loving companion and best friend of 20 years, Shirley E. Arnold; five sons, Richard, Craig, Dale, Todd and Daniel; four daughters, Andrea, Allison, Stacey and Leslie and their families. Though Shirley's children were not his by birth, they thought of him as family, Bonnie St. Clair, Randy Arnold, Lori Walter, Steven Arnold and their families. Also Shirley's sister, Leona Andrews. He is survived by his siblings, Catherine Miller, Thelma Couture, Arlene St. John, June Venne and Earle Desrocher. He was predeceased by his parents; and one brother, Harold Desrocher. Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 24, 2006, from noon to 2 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh with a funeral service at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the FitzPatrick Cancer Center. Ruth H. RobbinsWINTER PARK, Fla. -- Ruth H. Robbins, 89, formerly of Plattsburgh and Orlando, Fla., died Friday, April 14, 2006, in Winter Park, Fla. She was born in Chazy, N.Y., on Aug. 25, 1916, the daughter of Benjamin and Rae (Ullock) Wilson. Mrs. Robbins was a member of the Lake Worth Nazarene Church and a former member of the Church of the Nazarene. Ruth graduated from Chazy Central School and later from Eastern Nazarene College. She was an elementary school teacher in Perry's Mills, N.Y., Chazy Central Rural School and later taught in Orlando, Fla., from 1962 to 1977, moving to Lake Worth, Fla., in 1977. Survivors include two stepsons, Glen Donald Robbins and his wife Patricia of Plattsburgh and Kenneth Robbins and his wife Betty Lee of N. Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two cousins, Mrs. Howard (Ruby) Hughes of Chazy and Helen Sellers of Plattsburgh; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Mooers, N.Y.

LAWRENCE MANNING, 78, of Newark, N.Y., died Tuesday, April 18,
2006, at the Demay Living Center, Newark, N.Y.
He was born in Chateaugay, N.Y., on Aug. 4, 1927, the son of Wallace
and Beatrice (Cook) Manning.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday in Sandy Knoll
Cemetery, Chateaugay, with the Rev. Derek Trudell officiating.
