Patrick Hugh Phillips

LASALLE, Quebec -- Patrick Hugh Phillips, 52, formerly of Rouses Point and LaSalle, Quebec, died, Monday, April 17, 2006, at Hospital in Montreal, Quebec.

Patrick was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on April 24, 1953, to John Howard Phillips and Lois Gebo Phillips. Patrick's dignified journey with cancer and indefatigable spirit was and is an inspiration to all whose life he touched.

Patrick is survived by his immediate family, his loving wife, Sandy Pennell Phillips; cherished sons, Bradley, 21, and Andrew, 15, of LaSalle, Quebec; his mother, Lois Phillips of Rouses Point; and his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Pennell of Montreal. Patrick is also survived by his brother-in-law, Donald Pennell his wife Danika, their two children, Robbie and Kristine of Montreal; his sister-in-law, Karen Pennell Barcomb her husband Michael, their two children, Ryan and Allie of Toronto, Ontario; his brother, Michael Phillips of Rouses Point, his daughters, Nichole and Renee of Plattsburgh, his brother, Dennis Phillips his wife Barbara (Rowe), their children, Brittany and Matt of Rouses Point; his brother, Daniel Phillips and Beth St. Louis, Daniel's daughters, Leslie of Sheldon, Vt., and Laura of Plattsburgh; his brother, Gregory Phillips his wife Kelly (Brady), their daughter Chloe, of Malone; his uncle, Robert Gebo his wife Norma of Charleston, S.C.; many cousins and a group of loving, caring and special people who rose to the support of Pat, Sandy, Brad and Andrew.

Patrick was predeceased by his father, John Howard Phillips; his brother, Barry Robert Phillips; and his father-in-law, Fred Pennell.

Patrick worked for Air Canada for 20-plus years.

Patrick served in the Rouses Point Fire Department and was actively involved with youth hockey in LaSalle where he served as a coach and referee.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 20 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. at Feron's Funeral Home, 1010 Schevchenko, LaSalle, Quebec. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21 at 11 a.m. at St. John Brebeuf, 7777 George St., LaSalle, Quebec.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Rouses Point Fire Department.

Denise J. Brant

LEWIS -- Denise J. Brant, 40, of Westport, N.Y., died Saturday, April 14, 2006, as a result of a vehicle accident.

She was born April 5,1966, in Jasper, Ind., the daughter of Richard and Sylvia (Hammond) Gerould.

Denise enjoyed riding horses and belonged to the "Keepers" an association for the benefit of all children.

"Keepers" is not associated with 4-H.

She is survived by her mother and father, of Newark, N.Y.; two sons Kevin and Eric Brant of Westport; a stepson, Warren Brant of Keeseville; a granddaughter, Alyssa Brant of Keeseville; a sister, Robing Henderson of Newark, N.Y.; two nieces; and her former husband of many years, Ellis Brant of Westport.

Calling hours were held Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Marvin's Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Funeral services followed at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Black River Cemetery in Westport.

Francis C. Lawson

DADE CITY, Fla. -- Francis C. Lawson, 89, of Travelers Rest, Dade City, Fla., and formerly of Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center, Dade City, Fla., surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Sept. 19, 1916, in Brocton, N.Y., the son of Carl L. and Edna G. Haviland Lawson.

He has lived in Dade City the last 24 years, traveling in their Airstream RV the last 30 years.

He was a World War II Navy Veteran. He was a registered nurse having worked for Upjohn as a sales representative, had worked for the New York Department of Social Services and owned and operated PDM Enterprises.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Margaret J. Chaab Lawson.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Gail Thomas Lawson; his children, Michael and Susan Lawson of Dade City and Plattsburgh, N.Y., Douglas and Christina Lawson, Plattsburgh N.Y., Patrice and George Harris of Miami and Susan and William Anderson of Richmond, Va.; his grandchildren, Robert J. Lawson, Amanda Lawson and Michael Lawson of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Elizabeth Anderson living in England.

Services and burial will be private later in Plattsburgh, N.Y.

Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.

Marc Andrew Delio

PLATTSBURGH -- Marc Andrew Delio, 37, passed away on April 13, 2006, at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital surrounded by family.

Marc, the beloved son of Jan and Vincent Delio, was born on Aug. 28, 1968, in Plattsburgh, N.Y.

Marc graduated from Plattsburgh High School. He attended Siena College and graduated with a bachelor's degree from Plattsburgh State. Marc worked for a number of years in Albany in the medical insurance field prior to his returning to Plattsburgh where he worked in property management.

Marc is survived by his parents; his daughter, Alexis Louise Cadieux; his brother and sister-in-law, Vincent and Jennie Delio and their three children, Abby, Nori and Grady. Marc leaves behind his grandfather, Dr. Arthur B. deGrandpre, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Peter's Church on Monday, April 17, 2006, with a burial service thereafter at St. Peter's Cemetery.

Arrangements were with Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

Chistopher A. Agoney

PLATTSBURGH -- Christopher A. Agoney, 20, of Route 22, Plattsburgh, died April 18, 2006, at Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Burlington. Chris died from injuries following an auto accident that occurred on March 31, 2006.

He was born in Plattsburgh on July 11, 1985.

Christopher graduated from Beekmantown Central High School in 2004 and was working for the Press-Republican in Plattsburgh at the time of his death. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his many good friends.

Survivors include his parents, David and Amy (Ross) Agoney of Plattsburgh; his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Loretta Agoney; and his maternal grandparents, James and Rita Ross.

Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in Assumption of Mary Cemetery in Redford.

Donation may be made to American Diabetes Association.

ROBENA M. MOODY, 86, of Harpursville, N.Y., formerly of Paul Smiths, N.Y., died Monday, April 17, 2006, at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, N.Y.

Born in Tupper Lake, N.Y., on Dec. 23, 1919, she was the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Rice) Walsh.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake on Thursday, April 20, 2006, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A bible vigil will take place Thursday at 3:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will take place Friday at 11:15 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church in Saranac Lake with Father Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Brighton Cemetery in Gabriels.
