Denise J. Brant

LEWIS -- Denise J. Brant, 40, of Westport, died Saturday, April 14, 2006, as the result of a vehicle accident.

She was born April 5, 1966, in Jasper, Ind., the daughter of Richard and Sylvia (Hammond) Gerould.

Denise enjoyed riding horses and belonged to the Keepers, an association for the benefit of 4-H children. She is survived by her mother and father of Newark, NY; two sons, Kevin and Eric Brant of Westport; a stepson, Warren Brant of Keeseville; a granddaughter, Alyssa Brant of Keeseville; a sister, Robin Henderson of Newark, NY; two nieces and her former husband of many years, Ellis Brant of Westport.

Calling hours will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Marvin's Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Black River Cemetery in Westport.

REGINALD S. WATSON, 78, of McKinley Street, Lake Placid, died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

He was born in AuSable Forks on Sept. 1, 1927, the son of Guy and Flossie (Smith) Watson.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2006, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid. An American Legion prayer service will be held Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Adirondack Community Church in Lake Placid. Burial will follow at North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid.

RAYMOND LEE LaPLANTE, 55, of Ogdensburg, died Thursday, April 13, 2006, at the Highland Nursing Home.

He was born Feb. 19, 1951, in Tupper Lake, the son of William and Edna P. (Walch) LaPlante Sr.

Calling hours will be held at the Richer Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. today. A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery at a later date.
