George L. Rock Sr.

MORRISONVILLE -- George L. Rock, Sr., 84, of Cemetery Road, Morrisonville, died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at the CVPH Medical Center.

He was born in Champlain on July 3, 1921, the son of John and Cora (Bouyea) Rock Sr.

George married the former Elizabeth "Betty" Beyer in Morrisonville on Sept. 23, 1952.

Mr. Rock was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. George worked for Wholesale Tire and G & G Tire as a welder for over 35 years, 10 years of road and ground work for Richard Crawford and then ground work and labor for the Assembly of God Church retiring in May 2003.

Survivors include his wife; one son, William Rock of Plattsburgh; three daughters, Mrs. Jeffrey (Georgianna) Sebastian of Morrisonville, Mrs. Raymond (Carol) Martin of Eagle River, Alaska, and Mrs. Kenneth (Kristina) Gebo of Peru; one brother, Joseph Rock and his wife Janet of Panama; five sisters, Louise Deso of Plattsburgh, Hazel Delisle of Plattsburgh, Rita Werder of Rochester, N.Y., Alice Shephard of Sesser, Ill., and Anne LaPier of Rochester, N.Y.; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one son, George Rock Jr.; and two brothers, William Rock and John Rock Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Alexander's Cemetery in Morrisonville. There will be a reception following the burial.

Donations in his memory may be given to the Assembly of God Benevolence Fund.

Leonard Galm

WEST STOCKHOLM, N.Y. -- Mr. Galm died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at his father's home in West Stockholm after suffering a heart attack.

He was born Feb. 19, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of Henry and Elizabeth (Brunkel) Galm.

Leonard graduated from Mastbaum Technical School in Philadelphia. He married Lynn Ouellette on April 8, 1995, in Burlington, Vt. He was a hydra-seeding technician, employed by Simpson Seeding of West Stockholm. Leonard was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn of Elizabethtown, N.Y.; his father, Henry Galm Sr. of West Stockholm; two brothers, James and wife Carol Simpson of West Stockholm and Henry Galm Jr. of Catleek, Va.; a stepsister, Ms. Carol Gimbel of Elkton, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth Galm.

A gathering of friends and family for a brief eulogy for 46 year old Mr. Leonard Galm will be held Thursday, April 6, 2006, at 1 p.m. at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, James and Carol Simpson at 121 Ferel Bridge Road, West Stockholm.

Arrangements for cremation have been made with the Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam.

Marlene F. Tondini

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Marlene F. Tondini passed away March 31, 2006, in Spokane, Wash., from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), which in her last years limited her communication and mobility, but never her sprit.

She was born Dec. 2, 1937, in Michel-Natal, British Columbia, Canada, the daughter of Annie Eberts and Henry Eberts, she was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, spouse, mother, aunt and grandmother.

She was an accomplished Blue Ribbon baker. She also traveled extensively.

In 1958, she married Arthur J. Tondini, also of Michel-Natal, and soon thereafter moved to Spokane, Wash. There, with the exception of short stops in California and Western Washington, she raised their four sons.

In the 1990's she and her husband spent several years in up-state New York, in the hamlet of Willsboro in the Adirondack Mountains. They immediately made many friends and she immersed herself in golfing, bridge and touring New England and Quebec. She did volunteer work at the Willsboro Paine Memorial Free Library.

She is survived by her husband; four sons; four grandchildren; and three siblings.

ANNA O. CARLSON, 82, formerly of Ellenburg Center, died Monday, April 3, 2006, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

Arrangements were incomplete Monday evening at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Ellenburg Depot.

BARBARA G. PERRY, 80, died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at Evergreen Valley Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, at Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home in Valatie, N.Y. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 7. Burial will follow in Kinderhook Cemetery.

Local arrangements were with M.B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Champlain.
