Jacob Milo DievendorfMALONE -- Jacob Milo Dievendorf, 8, of 51 Franklin St., Malone, died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. Born in Malone Sept. 17, 1997, he is the son of Charles and Jane (Welch) Dievendorf. He was a second-grade student at Davis Elementary School in Malone. Jacob loved music, traveling, being outdoors and the Wiggles, but more than anything he loved being with his family. He could be seen often attending his sister's sporting events. Jacob touched so many lives in such a short time. He always had a smile on his face and love in his heart. Survivors include his parents, Charles and Jane Dievendorf of Malone; two sisters, Maggie and Anna Dievendorf of Malone; his paternal grandmother, Veronica Dievendorf of Gouveneur, N.Y.; his aunts and uncles, Terry and Tom Tregan (his godparents), Barb and Clark Foster, and Steve and Sue Welch, all of Plattsburgh, Kathy and Ron Jacob of Conn., James and Liz Welch of Calif., Lynn and Sally Dievendorf of Va., and Anne and Bill Ashley of Rochester, N.Y.; and many cousins. Jacob also loved and was loved by his special nurse, Wendy Dufrane. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Charles F. Dievendorf, and his maternal grandparents, Stanton "Mike" and Patricia Welch. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Church in Malone. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery on the Lake Titus Road in Malone. Donations may be made in his memory to the Malone Minor Hockey Association. Theresa R. BakerPORT HENRY -- Theresa R. Baker of the Lee House Apartments in Port Henry, died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at her apartment. She was born May 7, 1939, in Port Henry, the daughter of Stanley Sr. and Josephine (Hill) Gilbo. Theresa enjoyed her cat, Dakota, her friends and family. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Robert Carr of Moriah; her grandchildren Stacey Carr of Albany and Matthew Carr of Moriah; a son and daughter-in law, Kevin and Sandy Baker; her grandchildren Amber and Ryan Baker; three brothers, Oakley Gilbo Richard Gilbo and Joseph Gilbo, all of Port Henry; two sisters, Dorothy Shpur of Port Henry and Jane Hanchett of Moriah; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Russell Red' Baker; her brothers Stanley Gilbo Jr. and Walter Gilbo; and sister, Judith Snow. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Church in Port Henry. The Mass will be said by her nephew, Father Lorn Snow, S.J. Memorial donations may be made to the Town of Moriah Ambulance Squad. Robert H. OwenKEESEVILLE -- Robert H. Owen, 79, of Kent Street, Keeseville, died Friday, March 31, 2006, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born a twin, Oct. 4, 1926, in Keeseville, the son of Herbert and Julia (McLean) Owen. Bob was a 1944 graduate of Keeseville High School. He labored with farming, logging, saw mills, and iron and copper mining. He retired following more than 20 years of service in the U.S. Marine Corp. (2 years) and the U.S. Air Force (20 years). Following his military career he began employment at Plattsburgh State University with the public safety office. He retired as a lieutenant. He was a life member of the Keeseville VFW Post 1505, AuSable Forks American Legion Post 504, Marine Corps League Det. 4953, DAV Chapter Empire State 2, Peru Rod & Gun Club, NYS Conservation Council, Keeseville Elks Lodge #2072, AuSable River Lodge #149 F&AM, NYS Sheriffs Association, and sons of the AuSable Forks American Legion Post 504. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Gabriele and Tim Jacques of Willsboro, and Petra and Ronald Shirley of Keeseville; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Michael and Debbie of Wichita Falls, Texas, Peter Owen of Keeseville, Herbert and Holly of Peru, and Mark and Teresa of Weirton, W.V.; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Hazel LaBounty of Saranac Lake; several nieces and nephews; and his lucky charm, Wally "O." He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, William, Hubert, and twin brother Rodney; and three sisters, Gertrude, Irma, and Maida. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at noon Friday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Keeseville with Robert's long-time friend, J. Rodney Stone, offering prayers. Full military honors will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made the to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or your local Humane Society. Arrangements are by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville.

He was born in Champlain on July 3, 1921, the son of John and Cora (Bouyea)
