Bert E. Dillon

PERU " Bert E. Dillon, 66, of Route 9, Peru, peacefully passed away Thursday, March 23, 2006, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Plattsburgh, Jan. 5, 1940, the son of George and Vera (West) Dillon.

Bert retired from Georgia Pacific in Plattsburgh in 1996 following 20 years of dedicated service. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed several winters in Florida.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Diane M. (Gebo) Dillon, whom he married Sept. 5, 1959, at St. Augustine's Church; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kelly Dillon of Keeseville, and Patrick and Angela Dillon of Peru; six grandchildren, Jennifer Adams and Paul Devereaux of Boca Raton, Fla., Leanne Adams of Plattsburgh, Alicia and Joseph DesRocher of Peru, Charles Adams of Jacksonville, Fla., Shari Dillon of North Carolina and Jodi Lynn Dillon of Peru; and four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Alex, and Caylie.

He was predeceased by his parents; and his daughter, Starr A. Adams.

At Bert's request there will be no public calling hours. He generously wished his body be donated to the ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) Tissue Donation Program.

Donations in Bert's memory may be made to the Northern New England ALS Chapter, Champlain Mill, 1 Main St., Suite 13, Winooski, VT, 05404.

Arrangements are with the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru.

Theresa P. Brown

PLATTSBURGH " Theresa P. Brown, 86, of the Military Turnpike passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at the Clinton County Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was born in Redford, N.Y., on June 9, 1919, the daughter of Nelson and Priscilla (Facteau) LaMora.

Theresa was a homemaker all her life and she enjoyed doing yard work and flower gardening. She was a member of St. Peter's Church.

She was predeceased by her parents, Nelson and Priscilla LaMora; her husband Roland Brown; a daughter, Shirley Burl; a grandson, Jason Burl; her sisters, Mae King, Rose Betters and Rita LaBombard; brothers, Oral, Ernest, Perley, Bernard and Edwin LaMora; and her aunt, Ida Rascoe whom she lived with for many years.

Theresa is survived by a daughter, Dianna Seymour and her husband Gerald of Plattsburgh; a son, Roldon Brown and his wife Joyce of Plattsburgh; her grandchildren, Deborah and Stephen Bouvia of Knoxville, Tenn., Joseph and Diane Burl of West Chazy, Stephen and Ann Seymour of West Chazy, David Seymour and John Burl of Plattsburgh; her great-grandchildren, Matthew and Melissa Bouvia, Austin Burl; a son-in-law, Norm Burl of Plattsburgh; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Sunday, March 26, 2006, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Interment will be at a later date at St. Peter's Cemetery.

Ronald Martineau

PLATTSBURGH " Ronald Martineau, 72, of Cross Road, Plattsburgh, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2006, at the CVPH Medical Center.

He was born in Plattsburgh on Aug. 19, 1933, the son of George and Mabel (Collins) Martineau. Ronald was a veteran of the Korean War serving his country in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 when he was honorably discharged. He was a bus driver for Beekmantown Central School in the late 70s. He served on the Board of JCEO in the late 60s. Ronald worked for the Plattsburgh Foundry and numerous other jobs before his disabilities prevented him from working. He loved country music and was one of the areas best fiddle players. Ronald played in many jamborees and charities with the band The North Country Express, with his best buds, Ken Collins, Charles LaMott and Roy Smith. He had two close friends, Dot Whitney and Betty Senecal, a special friend Michelle he made while in the hospital. His real enjoyment in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. He always said "he lived for them." Ronald was a man with the biggest and kindest heart. He will be truly missed.

Ronald was predeceased by his parents, George and Mabel Martineau; two brothers, Daniel and Harold; and two sisters, Laura and Isabelle.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly "Betty" (Stefaniak) Martineau of Plattsburgh; three children, Ronald Martineau Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Plattsburgh; daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Marsico and her husband Patrick of Plattsburgh, Robin LaFrance and her companion Josh of Plattsburgh; five grandchildren, Corey Marsico and his companion Kristi, Shaun Marsico, Erin Marsico, Matthew Raudenbush, Nathan Rock; one great-grandchild expected in August; three brothers, Gene Martineau and his wife Joan of Plattsburgh, Darwin Martino and his companion Charlotte Lawrence of Plattsburgh, Gordon Martineau of Plattsburgh; a sister, Mildred Brown and her husband Albert of Plattsburgh; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Sunday, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.

A funeral service will follow at noon at the Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. William G. Reamer, chaplain at CVPH Medical Center officiating. Interment will be at a later date at the Treadwells Mills Cemetery. Donations may be made to his family.

Deaths

THOMAS M. ODDEY, 50, of Depot Street, Burke, N.Y., died Thursday, March 23, 2006, at the Fanny Allen Center in Burlington, Vt. He had been a patient at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility in Burlington since March 7.

Born in Glens Falls, N.Y., Jan. 29, 1956, he was the son of John H. and Patricia Webb Oddey.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone.

A funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Chateaugay United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Eleanor Bellows officiating. Burial will be in the Burke Center Cemetery in the spring.

ROBERT B. DAVIES SR., 67, of McGaulley Avenue, passed away Friday, March 24, 2006, at his home with his family by his side.

He was born in Plattsburgh on June 17, 1938, the son of Leon and Martha (Fushey) Myers.

Calling hours and funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. Interment will be at a later date in Riverside Cemetery.

WILFRED LAWRENCE SEARS, 70, of the Moffit Road passed away Friday, March 24, 2006, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
