Gerald W. Roberts

CLAYBURG " Gerald W. Roberts, 72, of Clayburg, died Friday, March 17, 2006, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Plattsburgh on July 31, 1933, the son of John and Mary (Plumadore) Roberts.

He was employed for over 30 years by Washbourne Construction in Plattsburgh and retired as a supervisor. He was a member of Laborers Local 186 in Plattsburgh. He enjoyed spending time with his family and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth (Hackett) Roberts; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kevin and Vanessa Roberts of Morrisonville, Kim and Connie Roberts of Morrisonville, Gerald Roberts Jr. and companion Linda Quesnel of Point au Roche; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and William Lobdell of Cadyville, Valery and Colin Favaro of Redford; a sister and brother-in-law, Alberta and Walter Butz of Syracuse, Utah; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Three brothers, Raymond, Francis and Clarence Roberts; and a sister, Velma Wood, died earlier.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the O'Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday from Holy Name Church in AuSable Forks. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery in Redford on Friday, May 19, following a 9 a.m. Mass.

The family wishes to thank the staff of R5 at CVPH for their compassion and care.

Deaths

VIOLA L. "VI" PAIGE, 83, of Beekman Towers, Plattsburgh, died Friday, March 17, 2006, at the CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side.

She was born in Richville, N.Y., on Aug. 31, 1922, the daughter of Ogden and Leona (Maxson) Rickter.

At Viola's request, funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be at Whispering Maples Mausoleum on the Tom Miller Road.

Arrangements are with the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.

DAVID A. PERRY, 50, of Lake Placid, died Saturday, March 18, 2006, at the Adirondack Medical Center, Saranac Lake, N.Y.

He was born Oct. 6, 1955, in Springfield, Mass., the son of the late Gertrude (Aikin) and Urban Perry.

Calling hours will be held at the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid on Tuesday, from 2 to 3 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
