Sadie A. AhernSARANAC -- Sadie A. Ahern, 62, died Saturday, March 3, 2006, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 22, 1943, the daughter of Kermit and Mabel (Amell) Fitzgerald. She married Timothy Ahern on Sept. 30, 1961, at Church of the Assumption in Redford. She retired from driving school bus at Saranac Central School after 30 years of service. The love of her life was her four grandchildren and going to her two older granddaughters' sports events. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Arthur Harris of Morrisonville; and one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Molly Ahern Jr. of Cadyville. Four grandchildren, Kalyn and Trista Harris and Morgan and Madison Ahern also survive her, as do two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Virginia Fitzgerald of AuSable Forks and Michael and Faye Fitzgerald of Peru; one sister and brother-in-law Peg and Bob Defayette of Saranac; one brother and sister-in-law Michael and Shirley Ahern of Saranac; one sister-in-law Sandra Ahern of Saranac; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Kermit and Mabel Fitzgerald and by her husband, Timothy Ahern, who died Oct. 4, 2005. Sadie has donated her body to the Albany Medical Center. There will be no calling hours. A memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at Church of the Assumption in Redford at 2 p.m. A reception will be held after the service at Redford American Legion Post on Wilson Road in Redford. Donations can be made to the family so they can donate them to the R5 cancer floor at CVPH Medical Center. Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

GEORGE P. HAMMOND IV, 72, of Route 9, Keeseville, died Sunday, March 5,
2006, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 16, 1933,
son of the late George P. and Gladys V. (Bloomer) Hammond III.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral
Home in Plattsburgh.
LINDA PAPIN, 58, of Pear Street, Plattsburgh, died Sunday, March 5,
2006, at CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side. Calling hours
and funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown
Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
ROY J. TROMBLY, 87, formerly of Saranac and most recently Zephyrhills,
Fla., died Sunday, March 5, 2006, at the Baldomero Lopez State Veterans
Nursing Home.
He was born in Ellenburg on May 28, 1918, the son of Modest and Bertha
(Trombly) Trombly. Calling hours and funeral services will be held at a
later date at a time to be announced.
