Oakley P. TaylorCADYVILLE -- Oakley P. Taylor, 68, of the Trudeau Road, Cadyville, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 31, 1937, in Vox, Ky., the son of Nellie (Williams) and the late Owen Taylor. Mr. Taylor served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1963. He worked as a civil engineer for the USAF from 1963 until his retirement in 1986. He worked for Lockheed Martin until 1991. Oakley then worked for CV-TEC in Plattsburgh as an audio/visual repair technician from 1992 until his retirement in 2003. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Gail M. (Ashline) Taylor, whom he married May 18, 1961, at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, frequent visits to his favorite "ice cream store" (Harrigan's) and riding every roller coaster he could. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Nellie, of Ideal, Ga.; daughters Dawn and Bruce Chapple of Cadyville, Diana and Dennis Livermore of Dannemora, and Debbie and Glenn LaBarre of Plattsburgh; nine grandchildren, Benjamin, Keith, Wesley and Taylor Chapple, Nichole, Tiffany and Rachel Livermore, and Korinne and Heather LaBarre; and great-granddaughter Kamryn Olivia Martin. He is also survived by his brother, Raeburn and Doris Taylor (and their children) of Brooksville, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Wayne and Sharon Ashline of Plattsburgh; special nephew, Jonny Ashline (and his children); special friends, Dave and Jania Lawliss, Dan and Beth Nowlin, Bobby and Marilyn Jordan, and Dave and Yvonne Richmond. He was predeceased by his father; sister, Leota; brother, Dale; and mother-in-law, Ola M. Ashline. At Oakley's request there will be no public calling hours or funeral service. Arrangements are by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. The Rev. Alan Douglass MacnabLAKE PLACID -- The Rev. Alan Douglass Macnab, 71, died Feb. 18, 2006, at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. He was born Dec. 28, 1934, in Elizabeth, N.J., the son of Horace P. and Mary Eaton Macnab. He served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division, attended Rutgers University and graduated from The College of New Jersey in Trenton, N.J. He was a teacher, principal and administrator in New Jersey, Lake Placid and the surrounding area. He was ordained deacon in the Episcopal Church in June of 1992 and priest in Nov. 2001. He served at St. Eustace Episcopal Church in Lake Placid, Beaver Cross Episcopal Camp and Conference Center in Cooperstown and St. James Episcopal Church in AuSable Forks. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Alice Helms Macnab; his three daughters, Robin Macnab Baxter and husband, David, of Lake Placid, Lindsey Macnab Batta and husband, Robert, of Oak Hill, Va., Leslie Macnab Simoes and husband, Arthur, of Hartford, Conn.; and son, Alan Breck Macnab and wife, Caresse Amenta, also of Hartford, Conn., and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, James Macnab and wife, Andrea, of Franklin, N.H., and Frank Macnab and wife, Sharon of Toms River, N.J.; and eight nieces and nephews. Calling hours are today, Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, from 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Eustace Episcopal Church, 2450 Main Street, Lake Placid. The funeral will be Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the same location. A reception will follow at the Crowne Plaza in Lake Placid. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Mission to the Dominican Republic c/o St. Eustace Church, 2450 Main Street, Lake Placid, NY 12946. The Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid is in charge of arrangements.

Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
She was born in Plattsburgh on Oct. 27, 1942, the daughter of Carl E.
and Claudia (LaValley) Bouyea.
