Robert F. GalbraithPLATTSBURGH -- Robert F. Galbraith, 80, of Melody Lane, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Pulaski on Aug. 18, 1925, son of Ralph and Olive (Galer) Galbraith. Robert was a graduate of Pulaski Academy and Central School in 1943. Bob continued his education by participating in many educational courses which supported his career. Bob joined General Telephone Company in 1946 as a Groundman in Adams, N.Y., subsequently he served as lineman, installer, repairman and combinationman in Adams, Long Lake, Old Forge and Pulaski, before being promoted to Plant Supervisor in Johnstown in 1968. In 1971 he was named Glove District Installation and Maintenance Supervisor. He retired on May 1, 1976, with 30 years, then as District Service Facilities Supervisor. He returned to telephone work in 1977, moving to Keeseville and taking a position with AuSable Valley Telephone Company, completing 11 years there. He retired in 1988 as Plant Superintendent. Bob enjoyed his family, golf, baseball and winters in Florida. He was a member of the Plattsburgh United Methodist Church. Robert is survived by his wife, Joan, of Plattsburgh; a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Jefferson Dukette of Plattsburgh; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sandra Galbraith of Fairbanks, Alaska, William and Rachel Galbraith of Fairbanks, Alaska, Bradford and Yui Galbraith of Ballston Spa; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Emily Dukette of Plattsburgh; one grandson and his wife, David and Cathy Galbraith of Oconomowoc, Wisc.; two great-granddaughters, Kelsey and Carly Galbraith of Oconomowoc, Wisc.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Arlene and Richard Sypek of Peru, George Toth and Victor Koenig of Mexico, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Howard, Bradford and Lawrence; six sisters, Ethel May, Verda, Helen, Erma, Dorothy Ann and Barbara. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, at 10 a.m. from the United Methodist Church in Plattsburgh with the Rev. Clark Callender, pastor, officiating. Burial will be later in the year in Pulaski Cemetery. Donations in Bob's memory may be made to Ball Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Plattsburgh United Methodist Church or a charity of one's choice. Lyman, 92, of Morrisonville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her family by her side. She was born Oct. 6, 1913, in Morrisonville, the daughter of William and Denise (Sorrell) Trombley. Anita was employed by the U.S. Postal Service and worked as a clerk at the Morrisonville Post Office, retiring after 20 years of service. She enjoyed gardening and grew quite a variety of beautiful flowers. In her younger years, she did a lot of vegetable canning to share with family and friends. She loved to cook and bake. Anita mostly enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love and kindness will be missed. She was a very spiritual person and was a member of St. Alexander's parish. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Barbara Reyell Lyman of Morrisonville; a grandson, Ricky Lyman Sr. and his companion Sue Pekral and her son Aaron from Morrisonville; a granddaughter, Vicki Ashley of Morrisonville; four great-grandsons, Benjamin Provost and companion Jessica Nunn of Morrisonville, Kenneth Provost and companion Kelly Frenya of Plattsburgh, Ricky Lyman Jr. of Morrisonville, Jeffrey Provost and companion Christina Racette of Morrisonville. Her husband, Arthur Lyman Sr., died in 1980. Her only son, Arthur Lyman Jr., died in 1992. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the O'Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday from St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Morrisonville Ambulance Service or for Masses. Blanche BergeronPLATTSBURGH -- Blanche Bergeron, 92, of Truman Avenue, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Chicoutimi, Quebec, Canada, on June 2, 1913, the daughter of Eugene and Alma (Gagnon) Bouchard. Blanche was employed all her life in various jobs and the one she enjoyed most was at Stoughton's Jewelers in Plattsburgh. She loved to spend most of her time knitting and crocheting. She did this for many years and volunteered her talents to the RSVP were she donated numerous baby hats and mittens for newborns and young children. Blanche was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Joseph "Al" Bergeron of Montreal, Quebec, Ronald J. Bergeron and his wife Kathy of Buffalo, N.Y., and Richard C. Bergeron and his wife Colette of Syracuse, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Denise Hincksman, Michele Bergeron, Jeffrey Bergeron, Keith Bergeron, Jason Bergeron and Sheley Bergeron; and one great-granddaughter, Allison Hunt. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, from 2 to 5 p.m. and on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will follow on Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will take place in the spring in St. Mary's Cemetery in Champlain. Donations in her memory may be made to the VFW Post 125, Boynton Avenue, Plattsburgh. Amasa W. MooreMOOERS FORKS -- Amasa W. Moore, 83, of the McDonald Road, Mooers Forks, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, at CVPH Medical Center, Plattsburgh, N.Y. Born in Ellenburg Center, N.Y., on Feb. 19, 1922, he was the son of Daniel and Flossia (Ormsbee) Moore. He was married to Jane Snide on April 1, 1949, in the Methodist Parsonage in Ellenburg Depot. Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 56 years; three children, Rev. Marion M. Moore-Colgan and her husband Mark Colgan of Poultney, Vt., Susan J. Moore of Chazy Landing, N.Y., and Charles A. Moore and his wife Kristen of Mooers Forks, N.Y.; a grandson, Daniel M. Colgan. He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Sallie Ann Moore; and a son, George Frank Moore. Mr. Moore assisted his father with the operation of the family farm after high school. He owned and operated Moore's Sanitation Service from 1951 until the time of his death. His son Charles joined him in the business in 1984. He was also a member of the Civilian Conservation Corp. He was a euclid operator in construction, drilled wells and was involved in the cedar oil business for many years. He enjoyed playing guitar with a local band. In his early years, Mr. Moore attended the Ellenburg Center United Methodist Church. He and his wife supported the Mooers Forks United Methodist Church. Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 23, in the Chateaugay Funeral Home with his daughter, the Rev. Marion M. Moore-Colgan, officiating. All are invited to a luncheon at 1 p.m. at the United Methodist Community Center in Ellenburg Corners. Spring burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Ellenburg Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society for research.

JOSEPH R. ROBINSON, 43, of Broce Ranch Trail, Evergreen, Colo.,
formerly of Malone, died Jan. 12, 2006, in Evergreen, Colo.
He was born in Malone, N.Y., on Dec. 5, 1962, the son of Robert
"Peanut" and Joyce (LaPlant) Robinson.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Bruso-Desnoyers
Funeral Home in Malone. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on
Thursday at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame Church in Malone. Burial will be in the
parish cemetery in the spring.
A funeral service was held in Golden, Colo., prior to his return to
Malone.
MARY T. PASQUALETTO, 75, of Grove Street, Malone, and formerly
of Jersey City, N.J., died Jan. 19, 2006, at CVPH Medical Center in
Plattsburgh, where she had been a patient since Jan. 6.
She was born in Jersey City on July 5, 1930, the daughter of the late
Michael and Angelina (Marino) Carrano.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at noon in the Bruso -
Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A Mass of Christian burial will be held
in New Jersey at a later date. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery
in Jersey City.
PHILIP G. MORSE JR., 76, of Belleview, Fla., died Jan. 19, 2006,
at Ocala Regional Medical Center, Florida.
He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y.
Arrangements are with the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Service, Belleview, Fla.
JOHN A. BARBER, 76, formerly of Keeseville, died Saturday, Jan.
21, 2006 at the Evergreen Valley Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.
He was born in Crown Point, Feb. 26, 1929, the son of Percy and
Florence (Blaise) Barber.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Hamilton
Funeral Home in Keeseville.
BERNYCE E. BOIRE, 90, of Champlain died Friday, Jan. 20, 2006 at
Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh.
Calling hours will be Monday, Jan. 23, at M.B. Clark Funeral Home in
Champlain from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Order of the Eastern Star will
meet at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be Tuesday,
Jan. 24, in Three Steeples United Methodist Church in Champlain at 11 a.m.
