Melissa P. (Merchant) Lloyd FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Melissa P. (Merchant) Lloyd, 35, of Flagstaff, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, in a car accident west of Winslow. Mrs. Lloyd was born May 15, 1970, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., to Myrna Franklin Power and Burton Merchant. She was a member of the staff of the Forest Highlands Country Club, where she worked for more than six years. She earned a bachelor's degree in language arts from Northern Arizona University and taught language arts at Flagstaff Junior Academy. She most recently worked as the library sales director for Salina Bookshelf. Family and friends will remember her as a person of irrepressible warmth and spirit who devoted her life to family and friends and the well-being of others. Mrs. Lloyd is survived by her husband, Christopher Lloyd; 2 year old daughter, Alexandria Wynter Lloyd; parents, Burton Merchant and Brian and Myrna Power; and brother, Matthew Merchant. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Pauline and Melvin Franklin and Carl and Theresa Merchant. Viewing was held on Sunday at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66. Services were held Monday, at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, 423 N. Beaver Street, Flagstaff. Ferris Emery WEATHERFORD, TEXAS -- Rev. Rebecca A. (Ferris) Emery, 55, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005. She was born July 9, 1950, to Norman and Catherine Ferris of Plattsburgh. At the time of her death, Rebecca was the pastor of Calvary United Methodist Church in Weatherford. Rebecca is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Leland (Sus) Emery; as well as her children and grandsons, Danielle Bostic and her sons Dylan and Brandon of Kerens, Texas, and Nichole and Sean Reynaud and their sons Jacob and Nicholas of Kanata, Ontario, Canada. Rebecca is also survived by two sisters, a brother and their spouses; Mary Jo and Guy Juneau of Plattsburgh, Patricia and Peter Beebie of Rouses Point and Daniel and Robin Ferris of Clifton Park. Several brother and sister-in-laws; nieces and nephews; and a very special extended church family also survive her. Rebecca was predeceased in death by both of her parents; and her stepfather, Paul A. Demers. A memorial service was held on Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Weatherford, Texas. Wanda Kudlacik InfantolinoVESTAL, NY -- Mrs. Wanda Kudlacik Infantolino, 50, of 481 Echo Road, Vestal, N.Y., died unexpectedly at her home on Dec. 4, 2005. She was born in Port Henry on Jan. 26, 1955, the daughter of Leo and Pauline (Koczur) Kudlacik. She attended Moriah Central School and Potsdam State College. Wanda was a chemistry teacher at Vestal High School and was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Endicott. She was also a member of the Science Teachers Association of New York State. Wanda is survived by her husband, William Infantalino; and her sons, Benjamin and Zachary of Vestal, N.Y.; her parents, Leo and Pauline (Koczur) Kudlacik; a sister, Bernadette and her husband Donald Pierson of South Hero, Vt.; two brothers, Edward Kudlacik and his wife Susan of Glenville, N.Y., and Paul Kudlacik and his wife Christine of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; several nephews and a niece, Seth Pierson, Stefan Pierson, Ian Pierson, Maria Pierson, Nicholas Kudlacik and Christopher Kudlacik. A funeral Mass was offered on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Good Council Church. She was buried in Riverhurst Cemetery in Endwell, N.Y. Rhada Doris MagoonELLENBURG CENTER -- Rhada Doris Magoon, 79, of 1831 Bradley Pond Road, Ellenburg Center, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. She was born in Ellenburg Center on July 19, 1926, the daughter of the late Peter D. and Mary "Mamie" J. (Doody) LaClair. She attended local Ellenburg schools. She was a loving homemaker and helped support her husband on his dairy farm for many years. She married Claude W. Magoon on April 26, 1943, at St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg. He predeceased her on March 7, 1980. She was a communicant of St. Edmund's Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters Court Little Rose 1300. Rhada enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by a daughter, Rosemary J. Trombley of Ellenburg Center; three sons and daughters-in-law, Rolland C. and Dale Ann Magoon, Stephen P. and Sandra Magoon and Miles K. and Diane Magoon, all of Ellenburg Center; two sisters, Mrs. James (Eleanor) Gaffney of Winter Gardens, Fla., and Mrs. Lewis (Hilda) Duffina of Norfolk, N.Y.; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Rhada was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Mary; her husband, Claude; two daughters, Linda M. Sansone and Mary Jane Magoon; a son, James W. Magoon; two grandchildren, Lona and Jamie Magoon; seven brothers, Irving, Norman, Howard, Austin, Eugene, John Eldon and Bernard LaClair; and two sisters, Muriel LaClair and Della Trombley. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Ellenburg Depot. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday from St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg with Rev. John Looby, pastor celebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Edmund's Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.

DAVID J. HESS, 67, of the Number 5 Road, Ellenburg died Sunday,
Dec. 11, 2005, at the home of his brother on the Ryan Road.
Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Wednesday,
Dec. 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

PEARL D. SMITH, 89, of Mooers, died Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at
her residence.
She was born in Ellenburg Depot on April 15, 1916, the daughter of
Stephen and Clara (Colgan) Drown.
There will be no calling hours. A committal service will be held at 3
p.m. Thursday from Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in
Ellenburg Depot.
The E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers is in charge of arrangements.

VERNA M. BURNS, 88, of Boynton Avenue, Plattsburgh, died Monday,
Dec. 12, 2005, at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility.
She was born Feb. 6, 1917, in Plattsburgh the daughter of Burton and
Martha (Thompson) Coryer.
