Ann M. Jock

FORT COVINGTON -- Mrs. Ann M. Jock, 70, of 128 Dundee Road, Fort Covington, N.Y., died Sunday evening, Dec. 4, 2005, at her home.

She was born May 6, 1935, the second child of the late Ira and Myrtle (Russell) Cherrier Jr.

She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in Malone in 1952. She married John A. Jock on June 20, 1953 in North Bangor. Mr. Jock died on Dec. 10, 2001.

She was an attendance clerk at Salmon River Central School for 18 years. She was also very active in the CSEA Union, where she held the position of president for several years and also served positions at the regional level. She was a very active communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fort Covington, where she was a lecturer, Eucharistic Minister and assisted with the religious education program and the cemetery association. She was also a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Fort Covington Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her five children, Sheila and Frederick Kapper of Westport, Craig and Vicky Jock of Fort Covington, Malcolm Jock of Copenhagen, Doreen and Scott Jacobs of Spencerport and Jacqueline and Thomas Siddon of Massena; eight grandchildren, Luke and Devin Kapper, Ryan, Christian and Aaron Jock, Joseph Jacobs, Emma and Hannah Siddon; two great-grandchildren, Jaiden Mitchell and Joryan Adams; eight sisters and their husbands, Teresa and Ambrose Snyder of Brushton, Jean and Peter Brown of Escolon, Calif.; Beatrice and John Reardon of Bombay, Kathleen and Jack Wells of Windsor, Calif., Ruth Elmer of Massena, Peggy Speegle of Lawrenceville, Ga., Mary Elizondo of San Jose, Calif., and Rosemary and Randy Cooper of Griffin, Ga.; four brothers and their wives, Andre and Barber Cherrier of Bridgeport, N.Y., Michael Cherrier of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Patrick and Shelley Cherrier of Malone, N.Y., and Joseph Cherrier of Malone, N.Y.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fort Covington where her funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Rocker, pastor, celebrating. Burial will be in the St. John the Baptiste Section of St. Mary's Cemetery in Fort Covington.

Arrangements are with the Donaldson Funeral Home of Massena.

Those wishing may contribute to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fort Covington Rescue Squad, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

FLORENCE MIKKELSON, 85, died Dec. 1, 2005, at St. Francis Healthcare Campus in Breckenridge, Minn.

She was born Dec. 23, 1919, the daughter of Alister and Gerda (Larson) McAloney in White Rock, S.D.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Minn. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at 1 p.m. at the Breckenridge Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Harvey Henderson, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton, N.D.

ALFRED PAGEAU, 71, of Phillips Court, Lyon Mountain died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

Calling hours are tentatively set for Thursday, Dec. 8 at the Lyon Mountain Funeral Home from 3 to 7 p.m.

Arrangements are with the Chateaugay Funeral Home.

MELVIN L. MCPHERSON, 95, formerly of Ellenburg Center, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005 at Mary's Haven Hospice in Saratoga Springs. Arrangements were incomplete Tuesday evening at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Ellenburg Depot.

GARY R. HEMINGWAY, 58, of the Fuller Road, Peru, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility in Burlington, Vt., as a result of injuries sustained in a fall.

He was born in Plattsburgh, Aug. 16, 1947, the son of Leonard and Margaret (Burnell) Hemingway.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru.

RUTH R. DOBBS, 80, of Keeseville Country Gardens, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in AuSable Chasm, Oct. 21, 1925, the daughter of Paul K. and Ruth (Locke) Andrews.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville.

RYAN CHRISTOPHER ROSE, infant son of Christopher and Kimberly (Maloney) Rose, of Peru passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility in Burlington, Vt.

The family will be receiving guests Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. from the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
