Carlos F. Moore

MINEVILLE -- Carlos F. Moore, 74, of 21 Champlain Drive, Mineville, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born Jan. 20, 1931, in Ticonderoga, N.Y. He was the son of Charles Moore and Alice (Harrington) Moore of Crown Point, N.Y.

Carlos served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War. He enjoyed his family and friends and always gave a helping hand to anyone. He also loved to play bingo.

Survivors include his wife Betty (Ploufe) Moore of 29 years; three sisters, Doris, Connie and Mona; his children of a previous marriage, Tom, John, Charles, Carla, Gary and Scott and their spouses; and his wife Betty's children, Rex, Susanne, Robert, Bryan, Timothy, Daniel and their spouses; and several grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; three sisters, Joyce, Katherine and Josephine; and two brothers, John and Paul.

Calling hours will be Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry, N.Y.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Port Henry, with Monsignor John McAvoy officiating.

Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Moriah, N.Y.

Memorial donations may be made to the Town of Moriah Ambulance Squad.

Barbara J. Case

PLATTSBURGH -- Mrs. Barbara J. Case, 70, of Blair Road, Cumberland Head, Plattsburgh, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh on March 30, 1935, the daughter of George and Flora (Laventure) Green.

Barbara was a case worker for the Clinton County Department of Social Services for 30 years, retiring in October 1992. She enjoyed crocheting, attending to her flowers, her cats, nature, wildlife, boating, shopping and fine dining. Barbara was a loving mother and a true friend.

She was predeceased by her parents, George and Flora Green; and her husband, Donald J. Case.

She is survived by loving family; her daughters, Cindy Case Miller of Potsdam, Sheryl Case Dickerson and her companion Peter Chase of Plattsburgh, Debbie Case and her companion Rodney Trudeau of Plattsburgh; six grandchildren, Rob, Mike, Katie, Megan, Kirstie and Andrew; a brother, Loy Green and his wife Penny of Point au Roche; a sister, Joy Crawford and her husband Ken of Keysville, Va.; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in the family plot at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Katherine "Kate" O. Trushaw

MINSTER, OHIO -- Katherine "Kate" O. Trushaw, 16, of 95 Crestwood Drive, Minster, Ohio, died on Nov. 26, 2005, in an automobile accident in Minster. She was born in Greenville, S.C., on Sept. 7, 1989, the daughter of Timothy and Julia Trushaw.

She was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Minster, where she was a Eucharistic minister, a member of Christian Life and a team leader of Challenge Catholic Girls Club. Kate was a junior at Minster High School and was a letter winning member of the high school golf team and a member of numerous school clubs and activities.

She is survived by her parents of Minster; her sister, Jacqueline, a student at Xavier University; her brothers, Timothy Jr., Eric and Matthew, all living at home; her grandparents, C.A. and Anie (deceased) Trushaw of Cumberland Head and James and Evonne Stechschulte of Minster, Ohio; paternal aunts and uncles, Michele and Lee Noyes, Morrisonville, N.Y., Christine and John Seller, Cadyville, N.Y., and Margot and Brent Hopkins, Portland, Texas; maternal aunts and uncles, Lisa Stechschulte-Bilbrey, Columbus, Ohio, Jean and Michael Bazeley, Cincinnati, Ohio, John and Nann Stechschulte, Minster, Ann and Steve Gruber, Minster, Ken and Kathleen Stechschulte, Kettering, Ohio, Barry Stechschulte, Cincinnati, Carolyn and Joseph Trauth, Cincinnati, and Marie and Jason Fightmaster, Cincinnati; and 28 cousins.

A funeral was held on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church in Minster, officiated by the Rev. Rick Neiberding, C.P.P.S., the Rev. Eamon Kelly, L.C., the Rev. Leo Hoying and the Rev. Benedict O'Cinnsealaigh. Burial was held in St. Augustine's Cemetery.
