Monica Plonka

NORFOLK -- Funeral services for the 77 years of Monica M. Plonka, of 23 West Main Street, Norfolk, will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with the Rev. Andrew Amyot, pastor officiating.

Burial will be in Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk. Friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mrs. Plonka died Thursday at her home in Norfolk.

Survivors include her husband, John J. Plonka of Norfolk; sons and their wife's, John P. and Judy Plonka of Norwood and Thomas and Terrie Plonka of Fulton; daughter, Christine Dresser of Saranac, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Brian Plonka, Christopher Plonka, Jason Dresser, Zachary Plonka, Joshua Plonka, Travis Dick and Nicole Doty; three great-grandchildren, Hanna Dresser, Riley Dresser and Trevor Doty; one niece, Judith VanValkenburg of Windsor Locks, Conn.

She was predeceased by a sister, Madeline Michalak; a daughter-in-law, Carol Plonka; and a granddaughter, Lisa Plonka.

Born in Montmagany, Quebec, Canada on March 2, 1928; daughter of Paul and Bernadette Kirovac Corriveau, she married John J. Plonka on May 23, 1948.

They lived most of their life in Witherbee, N.Y., and moved to Norfolk in 1984 to be close to their family.

She enjoyed cooking, canning, doing word search puzzles, playing rummy and visiting with people.

She was a communicant of the Church of Visitation.

Richard A. Duprey Jr.

WEST CHAZY -- Richard A. Duprey Jr., 21, Ashley Road, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at CVPH Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 24, 1984, in Plattsburgh the son of Richard A. and Gloria (Collins) Duprey.

He attended Beekmantown Central School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and wrestling. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends.

Richard worked at Aero Enterprises on the Duquette Road in Beekmantown.

Survivors include his father and mother, Richard and Gloria Duprey of West Chazy; one brother, Keith Duprey of West Chazy; his maternal grandmother, Betty Provost of West Chazy; maternal great-grandfather, Howard Bouvia of West Chazy; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, William and Annie Collins; great-grandmother, Mildred Bouvia; grandfather, Harold Duprey; great-grandparents, George and Sara Duprey; and one uncle, David Collins.

Calling hours will be held Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. and Monday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at St. Matthew's Cemetery in Black Brook.

Memorial donations may be made to the Duprey family.

A reception will follow after services at the Duprey home on the Ashley Road.

Elizabeth Eichenberger

PLATTSBURGH -- Elizabeth "Beth" Eichenberger, 62, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Plattsburgh on Sept. 26, 1943, the daughter of Harold N. and Ethel (Ketchum) Stafford Sr.

Beth, in her youth, was an active member in the local 4-H Club in Schuyler Falls and a member of The Church of the Nazarene in Plattsburgh. Her faith was central in her life. She led and supported many church groups throughout her life. Beth and her husband, Bob, founded the Intracoastal Waterfolk Ministries in Beaufort, N.C., in 1995.

She was a 1961 graduate of Peru Central School, 1965 graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh in elementary education having taught full time in Vermont and substituted in the Peru system periodically. She worked at Price Chopper for 20 years.

Survivors include her husband Robert, whom she married June 12, 1965, at the Nazarene Church; one daughter and son-in-law, Beth Anne and Matthew Macdonald of South Orange, N.J.; one son, Benjamin Eichenberger of Plattsburgh; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, the Rev. H. Nelson and Kathleen Stafford Jr. of Oran, N.Y., and Alan H. and Denise Stafford of Spotsylvania, Va.; one granddaughter, Fiona Lili Macdonald of South Orange, N.J.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many priceless friends.

A worship service of the resurrection will be held Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at 6 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Plattsburgh with the Rev. Kenneth I. Hinman, pastor, officiating. At the convenience of the family, internment will be held Monday in Willsboro at Memorial Cemetery.

ELIZABETH M. O'MALLEY, 88, formerly of Peru, but spent most of her life in Bloomingdale died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005 at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Peru Jan. 5, 1917, the daughter of Victor and Ida (LaPointe) Jarvis.

Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. from the funeral home. Burial will be Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Cemetery in Bloomingdale.
