Beverly M. Snow

ROTTERDAM -- Beverly M. Snow, 71, of Rotterdam, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at St. Clare's Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Plattsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Lee J. and May E. Snow.

She was a resident of the Capital District for approximately 40 years. Beverly worked for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, from where she retired.

She is the beloved mother of Timothy (Sharon) King, Beth King, John King, Linda King, Amy Adams and Michael (Kimberly) King. She is the cherished grandmother of Brandee Powell, Sarah Puffer, Meghan Powell, Eric Puffer, Patrick King, Alexis Adams and Michael and William King and the devoted great-grandmother of Dylan Hart. Also surviving are several cousins; one uncle; and her devoted canine companion, "Pippi."

Beverly was predeceased by her brother, the Rev. J. Snow.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Friday morning at 9 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church in Rotterdam. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Whitehall, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA Disaster Relief Fund, PO Box 96116, Washington, DC 20090 in memory of Beverly M. Snow.

Scott Brink

CHAMPLAIN -- Scott Brink, 40, of Champlain passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Burlington, Vt.

He was born Oct. 28, 2005, in Watertown, N.Y., the son of the late David Joseph and Ruth Ann (Hunt) Brink.

He loved NASCAR racing, fishing and camping. His family will dearly miss him.

He was predeceased by his parents; and one niece, Brittany Genereux.

Scott is survived by three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Brian and Candy Brink of Champlain, Jeff and Tammy Brink of Mooers Forks and Shane and Pam Brink of Champlain; one sister, Lori Brink of Champlain; three nieces, Hilary, Natasha and Venessa; as well as seven nephews, Jason, Derek, David, Joseph, Ryan, Dakota and Billy. He is also survived by a great-niece, Chyenne; and a great-nephew, Austin.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Champlain. A funeral service will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at Three Steeples Church.

Donations may be made in Scott's memory to the American Diabetes Association.

Stella Sheehy

GUILDERLAND -- Stella Sheehy, of Guilderland passed away into heaven surrounded by her loving family at Albany Memorial Hospital on Tuesday evening.

She was born in Mooers, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Albert and Emma Nephew on Oct. 23, 1926, and then moved to Albany as a young lady.

Stella raised her four daughters while working at various restaurants as a waitress, sometimes as many as four jobs at one time. She was employed by the Golden Fox Restaurant for 25 years where she made many lifelong friends.

Stella was an avid golfer and enjoyed tennis and gardening. She spent many winters in Florida and her hobbies included playing cards, sewing, games, crocheting and traveling. She will be sadly missed by her loving family.

Stella is the beloved mother of Nancy (Dick) Finley, Diane Yetto, Eileen (Mike) Aviza and Brenda (Michael) Burnett. She is the cherished grandmother of Rich (Dawn) Finley, Shoby (Tracy) Finley, Shelly (Adam) Peck, Skylar, McKenzie, Chloe and Spencer Aviza, Nick Warnken and Chantel and Mikyla Burnett. Great-grandmother of Robbie, Nathaniel, Dakota and the late Brooke. She is the sister of Carl (Catherine) Nephew, Eva (Charles) Drown, Ruby (Dick) Nephew and the late Irene, Leo, Wilmer, Lillian, Bertha, Earl, Delsia, Pearl, Harold and Richard. She is also survived by many devoted nieces, nephews and loving friends. Special thanks to Dr. Joe Dudak and the staff of New York Oncology and Dr. Suzanne Boka and Cathy Katz.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, N.Y. A memorial service in celebration of Stella's life will take place at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Theodore Tregan

PLATTSBURGH -- Theodore Tregan, 80, of Military Turnpike, Plattsburgh, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility in Plattsburgh with his family by his side.

He was born in Luzerne, Penn., on Feb. 5, 1925, son of the late James and Anna (Gruver) Tregan.

Theodore was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army Medical Corps. He retired from the New York State Department of Transportation in 1991, he enjoyed bowling, traveling, volunteering and spending time with his family and friends. Theodore was a member of the Peru Community Church.

Theodore is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eleanor (Cane) Tregan of Plattsburgh, they were married on July 28, 1955, at the cottage of Rev. Ball on Cumberland Head; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Theresa Tregan of Plattsburgh; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and John Tregan; a sister, Anna Mae Riley of Luzerne, Penn.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Andrew and June Tregan of Dallas, Penn., and David Tregan of Luzerne, Penn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Theodore was predeceased by his sister, Romaine Houseknecht; and his brothers, Francis, Edgar, John, William, Bernard and James Tregan.

Calling hours will be Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, from 4 to 7 p.m. from Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m. from Peru Community Church in Peru. Burial will follow in God's Acre Cemetery in Peru.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Theodore's name to the Peru Community Church.

BERTHA BEHAN, 93, of Champlain, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at the Cedar Hedge Nursing Home in Rouses Point.

She was born in Chazy on June 18, 1912, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Lushia) Matott.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Champlain. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday from St. Mary's Church in Champlain. Interment will follow at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Plattsburgh.

ELIZABETH M. CARLIN, 62, of Cargin Road, Malone, N.Y., died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. She had been a patient there since Nov. 3.

She was born in Malone on Sept. 18, 1943, the daughter of the late Fred and Margaret Bessey Miller.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in St. John Bosco Cemetery in Malone.
