Nora B. Farrell
PLATTSBURGH -- Nora B. Farrell, 98, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility in Plattsburgh. She was born at Silver Lake on July 17, 1907, the daughter of Daniel and Mary (McCormick) Buckley. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and sewing. She is survived by a sister, M. Eileen Buckley of Peru; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, James Farrell; five brothers, Patrick, Emmett, Roderick, Edgar and Francis Buckley; and two sisters, Helen Weir and Margaret Buckley, died before her. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the O'Neill-Redden -Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Wednesday from the Church of the Assumption in Redford. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Robert J. Casselman
LOUISVILLE, N.Y. -- Robert J. Casselman, 88, of State Highway 131, Louisville, N.Y., died Saturday morning, Oct. 15, 2005, at his home under the care of family and Hospice. Mr. Casselman was employed by Alcoa as an electrical supervisor. He was born June 30, 1917, in Morrisburg, Ontario, the son of Robert and Lottie (Styles) Casselman. He married Theresa Cox on Oct. 11, 1932, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Massena. He was a member of the 25-Year Club at Alcoa, an avid boater, past member of the Massena Yacht Club for many years; member of the Masonic Lodge 516 and the Media Shriners and Massena Shrine Club. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Oct. 17, at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena, from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 3:30 p.m., with the Rev. Curtis Denny presiding. Interment will in Brookside Cemetery, Waddington. The Masonic Lodge 516 will hold a service on Monday at 3 p.m. and the Eastern Star Cretona Chapter 513 will hold a service at 3:20 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home. He is survived by his wife Theresa; a daughter and her companion, Mary Ellen Casselman and Kay Branagan of West Chazy, N.Y.; and six grandchildren, Matthew Casselman of Massena, Rebecca Casselman of Charlotte, N.C., Bridget Kahn of Pueblo, Mexico, Akvin and Fasharra Branagan of West Chazy. Arrangements are with the Phillips Memorial Home, Inc., 64 Andrews St., Massena, N.Y.
Alice Foss
NASHVILLE, GA. -- Alice Foss, 72, of Nashville, Ga., and formerly of Lakeland, Ga., died on Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, at Fellowship Home in Nashville. She was born on Aug. 25, 1933, in Clinton County, N.Y., the daughter of the late Stella Violet (Hayes) and Harry F. Mooney and was a direct descendant of the Union Army Civil War hero, Capt. Nathaniel Hayes. She was a homemaker and retired machinist with Georgia-Pacific in Plattsburgh. Alice was a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Romberger of Lakeland and Cheryl Foss of Clearwater, Fla.; four sons, Michael Liberty, Ronald Edward Foss III, John Foss and Mark Foss, all of Nashville; two sisters, Betty Mooney Volker of Great Falls, Mont., and Dorothy Gorman of Morrisonville, N.Y.; two brothers, Ross Mooney and Walter Mooney, both of West Chazy, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Edward Foss Jr., who died Aug. 9, 2000; a son, Ross William Liberty; three sisters; and five brothers. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, Oct. 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lovein Funeral Home, 1218 Adel Road, Nashville, Ga. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Pickern officiating. Interment will follow at the Nashville Memorial Gardens.

CHESTER A. DAYTON, 95, of Lawrence Street, Saratoga, N.Y., died
Oct. 14, 2005, at the Saratoga Springs Hospital.
He was born in Hadley, N.Y., on Jan. 6, 1910, the son of Wilbur T. and
Jessie B. (White) Dayton.
The R.W. Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, which are
incomplete.
CLEMENT A. "SNUFFY" DEVAN, 81, of Route 3, Cadyville,
died Oct. 15, 2005, at his home.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral
Home in Cadyville.
