Marjorie Helen Lawrence

AUSABLE FORKS -- Marjorie Helen Lawrence, 71, of Route 9N, AuSable Forks, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2005 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Jamica Plains, Mass., Aug. 29, 1934, the daughter of Leslie and Charlotte (Bryer) Coolidge.

Marge enjoyed bingo with a special friend, bowling and was an avid reader. Marge loved spending time with her grandchildren and her dog.

Survivors include five children and spouses, Glen Lawrence of Clintonville, Barbara and George Goff Jr. of Keeseville, Leslie Zaske of Girard, Ohio, Gerald and Jenatte Lawrence II, of Accushenet, Mass., and Charline and Joe d'Avignon of Wilmington; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth, Barbara, Alice, Dotty; one brother, Richard; her mother-in-law, June Lawrence; sister-in-law, Bonnie Garrand; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband, Charles G. Lawrence; a granddaughter, Ruth Ann Gearhart-Goff; and a sister, Charlotte L. Coolidge.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home with the Rev. Mr. Blair C. Biddle, Deacon Vicar at St. Paul's Church in Keeseville and chaplain at the Clinton County Sheriff's Department and Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, pastor of the Catholic Community of Keeseville, both officiating. Following cremation, burial will be held in St. John's Cemetery in Keeseville.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Keeseville Rescue Squad.

Clara Premore

PLATTSBURGH -- Clara Premore, 98, formerly of Main Mill Street, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh. She was born in Hemmingford, Quebec, Canada, on Nov. 14, 1906, daughter of the late Cyprien and Celina (Denault) Bourdon.

Clara had been employed by Eaton's in Toronto, Canada. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Parish, Our Lady of Victory Rosary Society and a member of the Home Bureau.

Clara was married to Leo Premore on Oct. 9, 1950; Leo passed away on April 12, 1995.

Clara is survived by three stepchildren, Howard and Hortense Premore of Champlain, Geraldine Buckley of West Chazy and Lorraine Crews of Port Richey, Fla.; two brothers, Wilfred and Giselle Bourdon of Chateaugay, Quebec, and Rudolphe and Marcelline Bourdon of Chateaugay, Quebec; two sisters, Marie King of Montreal and Laurette Berthiaurne of Quebec City, Quebec; 10 stepgrandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Clara was predeceased by her brothers, Real, Victor and Armand Bourdon; a sister, Irene; a stepson, Robert Premore; and a stepgrandson, Glen Premore.

Calling hours will be Monday, Oct. 3, from 10 to 11:45 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 3, at noon at Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country, Church Improvements at Our Lady of Victory Church or Masses may be said in her memory.

SALLY K. MALONE-SOWLEY, 60, of Olliveti Place, Plattsburgh, died Sept. 30, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born on Jan. 6, 1945, the daughter of Dr. Edward and Shirley (Ilsley) Malone.

JAMES H. "JIM" LAVALLEY, 82, of the Salmon River Road, Plattsburgh, died Oct. 1, 2005, at his home, under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country.

He was born in Plattsburgh, Sept. 9, 1923, the son of Heman and Rose (Mitchell) LaValley.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru.

CHARLES E. TOWLE, 82, of State Street, Malone, died on Sept. 29, 2005, at his home, surrounded by his family and with the care of Hospice of the North Country.

He was born on Oct. 26, 1922, in Montreal, Quebec, the son of Charles and Leah (Dumas) Towle.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 10:30 at Notre Dame Church in Malone. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Arrangements are with the St. Mary-Murphy Funeral Home in Malone.
