Patricia P. RodickMINEVILLE -- Patricia P. Rodick, 89, died Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, N.Y. She was born In Lyon Mountain, on Dec. 2, 1915. Pat was the daughter of Peter and Marcella Yakalis of Moriah, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husband, Adam. Pat is survived by her five children; Joan (Tom) Kudlacik, Martie (Ron) Newell, Tom (Nancy) Rodick, Carolyn (Clay) Woodman, Mary (Jim) Celotti; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Church of All Saints in Mineville, N.Y., on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Town of Moriah Ambulance Squad, in care of Dianna Alger, 311 Windy Hill Road, Moriah, NY 12960. Margaret E. Scott MORRISONVILLE -- Margaret E. Scott, 79, of Shingle Street, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. She was born in Bronx, New York City, on June 6, 1926, the daughter of Wales O. and Mabel (Pragnell) Bryson. Mrs. Scott was a member of the Zion Methodist Church in Peasleeville and the Adirondack Mountain Club. She was a 4H leader and loved working with children. While working for the Red Cross in a United Services Organization Club in New York City in 1946 she met her future husband, the late Ernest W. Scott Sr. She later traveled to England to marry Mr. Scott at Melksham in Wiltshire County. She worked as a seamstress for Trevor Manufacturing in Keeseville for many years and later at CVPH Medical Center for 18 years. Survivors include two sons, William Scott and his companion Jane Dion of Albany and Ernest W. Scott Jr. and his wife Dora of Malone; three daughters, Edith Bushey of Manchester, N.H., Judith Stone and her husband George of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Diane Crawford of Morrisonville; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and one nephew. She was predeceased by one brother, William Bryson. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A private funeral service will be held for the family. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Mahlon R. CoveyPLATTSBURGH -- Mr. Mahlon R. Covey went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Plattsburgh on March 1, 1938, to Ernest and Loretta (Brothers) Covey. Mahlon retired from New York State Electric and Gas after 34 years of dedicated and enjoyable service. His hobbies included woodworking. Many memorable gifts were handcrafted by his loving hands for his children and grandchildren to treasure. He coached little league baseball for many years, enjoyed playing golf and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mahlon was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Loretta Covey; his brothers, Duane, Ronald and Gary Covey; and a sister, Jean Manor. He was also predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Albina Myers; and a brother in law, Jerry Myers. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jeanette (Myers) Covey of Plattsburgh; his children; Kim St. Louis and her companion Jim Chamberlain of Plattsburgh, Beth Stanton and her husband Tim of Morrisonville, John Covey and his wife Tina of Peru, Mary Fowler and her husband Dennis of Plattsburgh, Carol Carpenter and her husband Steve of Plattsburgh; his grandchildren, Justin and Melissa St. Louis, Sarah, Morgan and Nathanael Stanton, Rachel Covey, Dennis and Dana Fowler, Katelyn and David Carpenter; two great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Mary Elizabeth; and brother, Jack Covey of Beekmantown. He is also survived by his much loved in laws, James and Lynda Myers of Morrisonville, Larry and Joyce Miller of Morrisonville, John and Bonnie Myers of Saranac, Dr. Harvey and Mrs. Joan (Myers) Duchin of Plattsburgh, Katie Covey of Beekmantown, Esther Covey of Beekmantown and Sherry Covey of Las Vegas; several aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; nephews and friends. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, at 10 a.m. from St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Interment will follow at St. Alexander's Cemetery. Friends wishing may make donations to Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of the North Country.

MAGNUS, 89, of Saranac Lane died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. Born in Milwaukee, Wis., on April 10, 1916, he was the son of Maurice and Myra (Levi) Magnus. A gathering in celebration of the life of John will be held Sunday, Sept, 17, 2005, from 11:30 to 3 p.m. at the Saranac Lake Free Library in the Cantwell Room. A time of sharing will be offered. HINKSON, 93, of Wawbeek Avenue, Tupper Lake and more recently of Brick, N.J., died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005 at Shorrock Garden Nursing Home in New Jersey. She was born in Tupper Lake on May 30, 1912, the daughter of Louis and Mary Jane (Prespare) Duval. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Richer Funeral Home, Tupper Lake. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Alphonsus Church.
