TICONDEROGA — Rollin "Ronnie" J. Bezio, 67,
of Mt. Hope Avenue, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005,
at his residence.
Born in Ticonderoga on June 9, 1938, he was the son of
the late Henry and Rita (Curtis) Bezio.
Mr. Bezio was a lifelong resident of Ticonderoga. He was
employed for many years as a logger/truck driver for various logging
companies, most recently Laundry Trucking of Tupper Lake. Through the
years, he held other occupations including employment by International
Paper Company of Ticonderoga and a school bus driver for the Ticonderoga
School System.
He was a member of Ticonderoga Emergency Squad and
Ticonderoga Fire Department.
As a young man in the 1950s and 1960s, he was a Golden
Glove Boxing Champ in New York and Vermont, boxing under the tutelage of
Andy Andersen.
For his weekend enjoyment, Mr. Bezio would go camping
with his family throughout the Adirondacks. He was an avid hunter and
fisherman.
Mr. Bezio was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Sherry Bezio; and
three sisters, his infant sister, Marie Bezio, Raydean Jenks, and Doris
Trainor.
Survivors include two sons, Thurman J. Bezio, of
Ticonderoga, and Damon J. Bezio, of Chestertown; one daughter, Dawn M.
Bazan, of Ticonderoga; and two brothers, John Bezio, of Fort Ann, and
Vernal Bezio, of Dresden. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga.
A funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
The Rev. Mr. Elliott A. Shaw, of St. Mary’s Catholic
Church of Ticonderoga, will officiate.
Interment will follow at the family plot of the Valley
View Cemetery of Ticonderoga.
Mary E. Mitchell Cross
JOHNSTOWN — Mary E. Mitchell Cross, 73, of Johnstown,
died Saturday morning, Sept. 3, 2005, at Nathan Littauer Hospital in
Gloversville.
She was born July 31, 1932, in Whallonsburg, N.Y., the
daughter of John and Elizabeth Corbett Mitchell. A lifelong resident of
Willsboro, Mary worked at a nursing home for several years. She moved to
Johnstown in March to reside with her son, following the death of her
husband, Dwayne Cross Sr., on Feb. 12, 2005.
Mary is survived by two children, Cindy Brady of
Manntana and Dwayne Cross Jr. of Johnstown; two brothers, Harry Mitchell
of Ballston Spa and Leslie Mitchell of Jay; five sisters, Ann MacDougall
of Schenectady, Margaret Baker of Gloversville, Ruby White of Michigan,
Alice Borden of Westport and Shirley Potter of Summit; two
grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday,
Sept. 7, 2005, at Memorial Cemetery, Willsboro. There will be no calling

Pearl B. Munson
CHAZY — Pearl B. Munson, 77, of Stetson Road in Chazy,
passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at CVPH Medical Center in
Plattsburgh, surrounded by those who love her.
She was born in Altona on Dec. 3, 1927, daughter of the
late William and Blanche (Clark) Ladue.
Pearl was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Chazy and
was employed at Chazy Orchards for many years. She dedicated her life to
her family as a devoted wife, nobly attending to the affairs of the
household, always faithful and true, a loving mother, gracefully caring
to the needs of her children who brought her so much joy and a wonderful
grandmother so proud of her flowerbed of grandchildren that she would
light up every time she saw them.
Pear is survived by her husband, Carl E. Munson, of
Chazy; five children, Wayne Munson and his wife, Mary, of Pittsgrove,
N.J., John Munson and his wife, Patricia, of West Chazy, Richard Munson
and his wife, Audrey, of Chazy, Deborah Naples and her husband, John, of
Bensalem, Pa., Cathy Devins and her husband, Ray, of Chazy; four
brothers and sisters, Pauline Provost of West Chazy, Alfred LaDue and
his wife, Myrtle, of Chateaugay, Joyce Manor of Altona, Carl LaDue and
his wife, Shirley, of Chazy; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
Pearl was predeceased by a son, Rodney Munson; two
brothers, Harold and Earl LaDue; and a sister, Doris LaBarge.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Altona. A Mass of
Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, at 11 a.m.
from Sacred Heart Church in Chazy. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart
Cemetery.
