Richard J. McCorry
MORRISONVILLE —
Richard J. McCorry, 80, of Morrisonville, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, at
CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
He was born in
Dannemora on Sept. 6, 1924, the son of Harry and Mary Reyell McCorry.
He served in the
Army during World War II and was a corrections officer at Clinton
Correctional Facility in Dannemora for more than 47-and-a-half years,
retiring in 1994.
Mr. McCorry was
member of American Legion Post 1619 in West Plattsburgh. He was an avid
St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and also enjoyed bowling and playing
poker.
He was survived by
two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard L. and Tammy McCorry of
Morrisonville, Robert and Cindy McCorry of Plattsburgh; a daughter,
Kathie McCorry of Champlain; a brother, William McCorry of Plattsburgh;
three grandchildren, Richard S. McCorry, Jessica L. McCorry and Zhana M.
McCorry; and several nieces and nephews.
His wife, Shirley,
died on Nov. 9, 1991. Two borthers, Harry and Jack McCorry; and a
sister, Irene Miller, also died earlier.
There will be no
calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Interment will be in St. Alexander’s Cemetery in Morrisonville. The O’Neill-Redden-Drown
Funeral Home in Plattsburgh is in charge of arrangements.
John Floyd Worsham III
ESSEX — John
Floyd Worsham III, 20, of Ross Way, Essex, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005.
at Fletcher Allen Healthcare in Burlington, Vt., as a result of injuries
sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born in
Houston, Texas, July 17, 1985, the son of Ann J. Kirby and John Floyd
Worsham Jr.
He was employed
with Kubricky Construction of Glens Falls as a pipe layer.
John enjoyed
skateboarding, fishing, hiking and his many friends.
Survivors include
his mother, Ann J. Kirby and companion, Joseph Cordasco, of Essex; his
father, John F. Worsham Jr. of Riverview, Fla.; one sister, Heather
Nicole Worsham of Essex; one brother, Jim Charles Worsham, of Riverview,
Fla.; paternal grandmother, Lucy Hawkins of Houston, Texas; and several
aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will
be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A
liturgy of the word will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s
Church in Essex with the Rev. Scott Seymour, pastor, presiding.

Ralph A. Boyle
PORT HENRY, N.Y.
— Ralph A. "Beefer" Boyle, 74, passed away Aug. 26, 2005, at
the Fletcher Allen Health Care, Burlington, Vt.
He was born in
Whallonsburg, N.Y., on April 22, 1931, the son of Ralph James and
Margaret (Hodskin) Boyle.
Ralph retired from
International Paper Company where he worked as a security guard. He was
previously employed at the Grand Union, A & P, D & H Railroad
and on a local Farm. Ralph was a member of the Port Henry Fire
Department, The Golden Eagle Sr. Drum and Bugle Corporation, The Knights
of Columbus, Town of Moriah Ambulance Squad and he was a member of the
Quarter Century Club at International Paper Co.
He is survived by
his loving wife, Barbara (James) Boyle, whom he married May 31, 1952;
his daughter, Crystal and her husband Gary Stoddard; their children,
Heather Sanchez and her husband Alfredo and children Milan and Elena,
and Holey Rollins and husband Wes and son Michael of Moriah; his
daughter, Ann Boyle of Maine; and grandson, Gary Stoddard his wife Tammy
and their son Brandon of Port Henry; his daughter, Nancy (Nannie-Bean
Boyle) and her husband Mike, and their children, Sarah and Michael Bezon;
his son, Ralph James Boyle and his wife Rhonda of Port Henry and their
children, Luke Boyle of Mineville, Bobbi-Jo Childs of Ticonderoga, Timmy
(Timothy) and their grandson Devyn. Ralph is also survived by his
brothers, Richard (Smut) Boyle, William (Hammer) Boyle, Robert (Hobbie)
Boyle, Edward Boyle, Thomas (Turk) Boyle; and his sister, Linda (Boyle)
St.Pierre. He is also survived by his hunting buddy, Bob Young of Crown
Point. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Ann Boyle; and his
infant son Phillip James Boyle.
Ralph also know to
his family and friends as Beefer, Thelma, Junior and Bunnie Legs Boyle,
enjoyed traveling with his wife to Maine to see their daughter, going to
bingo, watching NY Yankees, hunting with his son and good friend Bob
Young, ice fishing, but what was most important to him was spending time
with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is
greatly loved and will be missed.
At his request
there will be no calling hours or public funeral service.
