Ralph A. Boyle

Whallonsburg, N.Y. — Ralph A. "Beefer" Boyle, 74, passed away Aug. 26, 2005, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care, Burlington, Vt.

He was born in Whallonsburg, N.Y., on April 22, 1931, the son of Ralph James and Margaret (Hodskin) Boyle.

Ralph retired from International Paper Company where he worked as a security guard. He was previously employed at the Grand Union, A&P, D&H Railroad and on a local Farm. Ralph was a member of the Port Henry Fire Department, the Golden Eagle Sr. Drum and Bugle Corporation, The Knights of Columbus, Town of Moriah Ambulance Squad and he was a member of the Quarter Century Club at International Paper Co.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (James) Boyle, whom he married May 31, 1952; his daughter, Crystal and her husband Gary Stoddard; their children, Heather Sanchez and Haley Rollins of Moriah; his daughter, Ann Boyle of Maine; and grandson, Gary Stoddard his wife Tammy and their son Brandon of Port Henry; his daughter, Nancy (Nannie-Bean Boyle) and her husband Mike, and their children, Sarah and Michael Bezon; his son, Ralph James Boyle and his wife Rhonda of Port Henry and their children, Luke Boyle of Mineville, Bobbi-Jo Childs of Ticonderoga, Timmy (Timothy) Childs and their grandson Devyn.

Ralph is also survived by his brothers, Richard (Smut) Boyle, William (Hammer) Boyle, Robert (Hobbie) Boyle, Edward Boyle, Thomas (Turk) Boyle; and his sister, Linda (Boyle) St.Pierre. He is also survived by his hunting buddy, Bob Young of Crown Point. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Ann Boyle; and his infant son Phillip James Boyle.

Ralph also known to his family and friends as Beefer, Thelma, Junior and Bannie Legs Boyle, enjoyed traveling with his wife to Maine to see their daughter, going to bingo, watching the NY Yankees, hunting with his son and good friend Bob Young, ice fishing, but what was most important to him was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is greatly loved and will be missed.

At his request there will be no calling hours or public funeral service.

William George Cline

Westport — William George Cline, 62, of 246 Sherman Road, died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Amsterdam, N.Y., Feb. 28, 1943, the son of William Gleed and Nana Mae (Riley) Cline.

He was a member of the National Guard and belonged to a Masonic Lodge in Amsterdam, N.Y. He was an avid horseman, a member of the Morgan Horse Association and competed in many events at the Westport Fair, winning many blue and champion ribbons. He was a 4-H leader. He was a professional prankster who enjoyed hunting and fishing and most especially spending time with his family and driving his horse, Gidget.

He was retired from the ARC after working there for 20 years as a residential counselor.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Munson) Shappy, whom he married Feb. 5, 2005; two sons, Gerald and wife Vicki Cline and Todd Cline and his daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Kevin Denton, all of Lewis; grandchildren, Mark and Heather Denton of Lewis, Rachael and Roger Cline of Moriah and Matthew Legacy of Westport; stepchildren, Floyd and Joanne Shappy and Juanita and Randy Fleming; stepgrandchildren, Brittany, David Brandon Fleming, Jack and Tristan Shappy, Melody, Daisy, Maggie and Veronica Byers; one great-grandchild, Alexis Maria Moore; two sisters, Regina and Bob Henning of DeBary, Fla., and Cindy and Dave Smith of Fonda, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews; and stepbrothers and sisters-in-law.

Calling hours will be held Sunday. Aug. 28, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Marvin's Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 29, at 11 a.m. at the Lewis Church.

Memorial donations may be made to the North Country Hospice, FitzPatrick Cancer Center in Plattsburgh or the charity of one’s choice.

Gerald J. Deschambault, 77, of County Route 42, Fort Covington, N.Y., died Saturday morning, Aug. 27, 2005, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, N.Y. He had been a patient there since Aug. 24.

Born in St. Agnes de Dundee, Quebec, Canada, on Nov. 22, 1927, he was the son of the late Joseph and Claudia Marie LaPierre Deschambault.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 10:30 until 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Fort Covington.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Fort Covington, with the Rev. Stephen Rocker, officiating. Burial will be in the new St. Mary's Cemetery.

John F. Worsham III, 20, of Ross Way, Essex, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt., as the result of injuries from an automobile accident.

He was born in Houston, Texas, July 17, 1985, the son of Ann J. Kirby and John Floyd Worsham Jr.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru.
