Frank Joseph LaPan III
Dannemora —
Mr. Frank Joseph LaPan III, 45, of Cook Street in Dannemora, passed away
unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at his home. He was born in
Schenectady on Sept. 12, 1959, son of Frank J. and Marian (Van Patten)
LaPan Jr.
He is survived
by one daughter, Heather Wilcox of Rotterdam, N.Y.; one brother and
sister-in-law, Joseph and Pat LaPan of Glen, N.Y.; three sisters and one
brother-in-law, Sharmaine (LaPan) Duprey and her fiancé Tim Stone of
Plattsburgh, N.Y., Patricia LaPan of Schenectady, N.Y., and Darlene (LaPan)
Van Buren and her husband David of Rotterdam, N.Y.; two grandchildren;
and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He is also survived by
two great-nephews and one great-niece.
He is
predeceased by his father, Frank LaPan Jr.; and two nieces, Ashley LaPan
and Crystal Duprey.
Calling hours
will be Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Brown Funeral
Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the
Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
Donations in
his memory may be made to the family or to Behavioral Health Services
North.
William George
Cline
WESTPORT —
William George Cline, 62, of 246 Sherman Road, died peacefully at his
home, surrounded by his loving family, Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, after a
long battle with cancer.
He was born in
Amsterdam, N.Y., Feb. 28, 1943, the son of William Gleed and Nana May
(Riley) Cline.
He was a member
of the National Guard and belonged to a Masonic Lodge in Amsterdam, N.Y.
He was an avid horseman, a member of the Morgan Horse Association and
competed in many events at the Westport Fair, winning many blue and
champion ribbons. He was a 4-H leader. He was a professional prankster
who enjoyed hunting and fishing and most especially spending time with
his family and driving his horse, Gidget.
He was retired
from the ARC after working there for 20 years as a residential
counselor.
He is survived
by his wife, Patricia (Munson) Shappy, whom he married Feb. 5, 2005; two
sons, Gerald and wife Vicki Cline and Todd Cline and his daughter and
son-in-law, Colleen and Kevin Denton, all of Lewis; grandchildren, Mark
and Heather Denton of Lewis, Rachael and Roger Cline of Moriah and
Matthew Legacy of Westport; stepchildren, Floyd and Joanne Shappy and
Juanita and Randy Fleming; stepgrandchildren, Brittany, David Brandon
Fleming, Jack and Tristan Shappy, Melody, Daisy, Maggie and Veronica
Byers; one great-grandchild, Alexis Maria Moore; two sisters, Regina and
Bob Henning of DeBary, Fla., and Cindy and Dave Smith of Fonda, N.Y.;
several nieces and nephews; and stepbrothers and sisters-in-law.
Calling hours
will be held Sunday. Aug. 28, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Marvin's Funeral Home
in Elizabethtown. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 29, at 11
a.m. at the Lewis Church.
Memorial
donations may be made to the North Country Hospice, FitzPatrick Cancer
Center in Plattsburgh or the charity of one’s choice.
Gladys M. Dupree,
80, of 808 22 Ave., New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and formerly of Massena and
Malone, N.Y., died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, at Fletcher Allen Health
Center.
She was born April
26, 1925, in Malone, the daughter of William and Gertrude (Bruso) Mussaw.
Calling hours will
be Saturday, Sept. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon in the St. Mary-Murphy
Funeral Home chapel.
A memorial service
will take place at noon Saturday, Sept. 3, in the St. Mary-Murphy
Funeral Home chapel. Burial will take place in St. John Bosco Cemetery,
Malone, N.Y.
Aileen Drown Kayea
LaMay, 83, of Dover
Plains, N.Y., died Aug. 24, 2005, at The Kent, Kent, Conn.
She was born Dec.
28, 1921, the daughter of Clifford and Minnie (White) Drown.
Calling hours will
be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Hufcut Funeral
Home, Dover Plains. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday
at the funeral home.
Eric Joseph Rolley,
85, of Water Street, Tupper Lake, died at the Adirondack Medical Center
in Saranac Lake on Aug. 25, 2005.
He was born July
24, 1920, in Faust, the son of Emile and Nellie (Rushford) Rolley.
A funeral Mass
will be held on Monday morning at 11 a.m. at Holy Name Church. Burial
will follow at Holy Name Cemetery with full military honors.
