Theresa M. Rascoe
SARANAC — Theresa M.
"Tessie" Rascoe, 68, of True Brook Road, Saranac, died Sunday,
Aug. 21, 2005, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Chazy Lake,
Oct. 13, 1936, the daughter of Napoleon and Amelia (Agoney) King.
Tessie worked for Dr.
Gilbert Ganong and family of Saranac for many years and operated Teddys
by Tess.
She was a volunteer for the
Salvation Army and also enjoyed crafts, gardening, baking, and cooking.
Her true love, however, was spending time with her family and many
friends.
Survivors include her
husband, Irvin M. Rascoe of Saranac, whom she married Nov. 30, 1957; two
sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael and Amy Rascoe of Cadyville, and
Ricky Rascoe of Saranac; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and
Bernard LaVarnway of Saranac and Judy Siskavich of Saranac and Steve
Siskavich of Riverview; 11 grandchildren, Kyle and Tanner Rascoe, Rick,
Kevin, Robbie and Mykel LaVarnway, Mandy, Ashley, Lindsey and Chelsey
Rascoe, and Steven Siskavich; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Ella
Mae Barber of Chazy Lake, Beatrice Reyor of Blackstone, Mass., Shirley
Brown of Chazy, and Genevieve and Roderick Heywood of Chazy Lake; and
several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her
parents; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Calling hours will be held
from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A Mass of
Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the
Assumption in Redford with the Rev. Francis J. Coryer, pastor,
celebrating. Following cremation, burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Donations in her memory may
be made to Hospice of the North Country or the Church of the Assumption
Building Fund.
Gerald K. Farr
SARANAC LAKE — Gerald K.
Farr, 75, of Fish Creek Road, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at Adirondack
Medical Center.
He was born in Mooers on
Nov. 6, 1929, the son of Kenneth and Gladys (Cokely) Farr. He married
the former A. Gean Harrell in Foldston, Ga., on Oct. 22, 1952. She died
in 1993.
Mr. Farr was a corrections
officer for 25 years, retiring in 1980 from Camp Adirondack in Ray
Brook. He was a former member of Dannemora Methodist Church and a member
of Fish Creek Park Land Owners Association.
Survivors include his
fiancée, Beverly LaJoie; one son, Scott Farr and his companion, Lisa
Mertz, of Saranac Lake; a sister, Catherine Bosworth of Dannemora; and
one grandson, Dylan Farr.
Calling hours will be
today, Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at R.W.
Walker Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be
held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home Chapel, followed by burial in
Riverview Cemetery in Clintonville.
Donations in Mr. Farr’s
memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung
Association.
Bruce Wayne Cayea Jr.
KEESEVILLE — Bruce Wayne
Cayea Jr., 4 months old, died Saturday, August 20, 2005, at CVPH Medical
Center in Plattsburgh.
He was born in Plattsburgh
on April 2, 2005, the son of Bruce W. and Evelyn (Decker) Cayea.
He is survived by his
parents, Bruce and Evelyn; his godparents, Tracy and William Willard
"Billy" Cayea of Schuyler Falls and Richard and Theresa Cayea
of Plattsburgh; a sister, Heather, of Keeseville; two half-brothers,
Alan Joseph Cayea and Michael Dandrow, both of Ellenburg Depot; two
half-sisters, Candy Marie Cayea of Ellenburg Depot and Amber Marie
Chapman of Schenectady; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be on
Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Home in Ellenburg
Depot with a prayer service at 4 p.m.
ELAINE GUMLAW,
57, of Rand Hill Road, Altona, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at CVPH
Medical Center in Plattsburgh as a result of an automobile accident.
