Steven Alan LaHart
South Boston,
Va. — Steven Alan LaHart of South Boston, Va., died Aug. 9, 2005. He
was born and raised in Keeseville, N.Y. Steve was retired military and
fought a long term illness.
He is survived
by his two sons, Shane and Nathan LaHart and two daughters-in-law,
Jenifer and Elizabeth; also survived by his grandchildren, Mickaela,
Kaycie, Brianna and Joshua; and predeceased by a grandchild, Leah.
He was
predeceased by his father, Clayton "Shorty" LaHart and is
survived by his mother, Floria Mildred Lahart; and eight brothers and
sisters, Daniel, Ronald, Clayton, Jacqueline, John, David, Raymond and
Georgianna; his brother William died earlier. He is also survived by
several nieces and nephews.
Services were
held in South Boston, Va.
Leita B. Nelson
Dannemora —
Leita B. Nelson, 90, formerly of Dannemora, died Thursday, Aug. 18,
2005, at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility in Plattsburgh.
She was born in
Chazy on Oct. 14, 1914, the daughter of Sedgwick and Suenella (Robins)
Bruce.
She is survived
by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Phyllis Nelson of Manomet,
Mass.; a sister, Ogla Buck of Dannemora; a granddaughter, Jennifer
Nelson of Massachusetts; and a nephew, Bruce Macey of Jamestown, N.Y.
Her husband,
Alton Nelson, died on Dec. 6, 1972; and a sister, Helen LaBounty, also
died earlier.
There will be
no calling hours. A committal service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m.
at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Plattsburgh.

Funeral Home in Plattsburgh is in charge of arrangements.
Virginia C. Ida
High Springs,
Fla. — Virginia C. Ida,
63, of High Springs, Fla., passed away at her home on Aug. 17, 2005.
In 1957, she
married William S. Martin, who preceded her in death. They had five
children; Anthony and Timothy preceded her in death also.
In 1967, she
married Michael G. Ida and had one son, Michael Ida Jr.
Virginia and
her husband opened up and ran a restaurant in Port Henry, N.Y., for 14
years. They moved to Florida in 1995.
She is survived
by her husband, Michael G. Ida, of High Springs, Fla.; sons, Rick Martin
of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Todd Martin of Oak Harbor, Wash., Bill Martin of
San Antonio, Texas, and Michael Ida Jr. of Charleston, S.C.; sisters,
Helen Baker of Port Henry, N.Y., Ruth Janquish of Moriah, N.Y., and
Joyce Stevenson of High Springs, Fla.
A memorial Mass
of remembrance will be held Aug. 20, 2005, at St. Madeleine Catholic
Church, High Springs, Fla.

Edmond K. Manor,
60, died at home in Madrid, N.Y., on Aug. 4, 2005.
He was born in
Cannon’s Corners, N.Y., the son of Mose Manor and Irene (Rowe) Manor.
There will be a
high Mass at St. Ann’s in Mooers Forks on Aug. 27 at 4 p.m.
Winifred M.
Johnson, 74, of Route
22B, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at CVPH Medical Center in
Plattsburgh.
She was born in
Plattsburgh on Nov. 6, 1930, daughter of the late Leo and Laura (Bell)
Manion.
There will be
no public funeral services.
Arrangements
are with Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
Gerald K. Farr,
75, of Fish Creek Road, Saranac Lake, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at the
Adirondack Medical Center, Saranac Lake.
He was born in
Dannemora, N.Y., on Nov. 6, 1929, the son of Kenneth and Gladys (Cokley)
Farr.

Peggy A. Hebert,
58, of Morrisonville, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at the CVPH Medical
Center in Plattsburgh.
