Eric Peter Loiselle

Olmstedville — Deputy Sheriff Eric Peter Loiselle, 31, of Olmstedville, was killed in the line of duty early Wednesday morning, Aug. 17, at mile post 107 on the Adirondack Northway.

Eric was born Aug. 10, 1974, in Glens Falls, N.Y., the son of Anne Sylvester Allen.

Eric was a 1992 graduate of Minerva Central School and had earned 16 credit hours at Adirondack Community College. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1992 to 1996 and served in the Persian Gulf War. Eric joined the Essex County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy in June of 2001; prior to that, Eric was a truck driver for several companies, including American Van Lines and Smiths Transport.

Eric enjoyed snowmobiling, camping and NASCAR, but he loved his job and his family; he adored his wife and his 3-year-old son.

Eric is survived by his wife, Natalie (Royer) Loiselle; and his son, Derrick Wyatt Loiselle of Olmstedville; his mother, Anne Allen; and his grandmother, Helen Sylvester of Olmstedville; his sister, Nicole and her husband Chet Prouty of Johnsburg; and his nephews, Nathan and Chester Prouty of Johnsburg.

A funeral Mass will be offered Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at noon at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Olmstedville. Interment, with Honors, will follow in the Federal Flats Cemetery, Olmstedville.

There will be no viewing hours.

The family suggests memorials take the form of donations to the Derrick Wyatt Loiselle Education Fund, c/o the Glens Falls National Bank, PO Box 187, Chestertown, NY 12817.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edward L. Kelly Funeral Home, Schroon Lake.

Brady Logan

Altona — Brady Logan "Bum Bum" Dragon, 3, of the Wood Falls Road, Altona, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on March 3, 2002, the son of Brad A. and Heather A. (Bedard) Dragon. Brady's hobbies were watching Blues Clues, playing with his cars, being outside and playing his Big Red Guitar.

Brady is survived by his parents, Brad and Heather Dragon of Altona; his sister Victoria at home; his paternal grandmother, Vera Dragon of Mooers; his maternal grandparents, Darlene and Edward Orzel of Cardinal, Ontario, and Andre and Betty Bedard of Champlain; maternal great-grandparents, Bertha and James Armstrong of Altona and Andre Bedard Sr. of Mooers; his aunts and uncles, Bruce and Carol Dragon of Martinez, Ga., Brian and Carla Dragon of Sciota, Brent Dragon of Mooers, Lynn and Glenn Orzel of Ottawa, Canada, Dave and Debbie Orzel of Toronto, Canada, Marty-Jo and Travis Seaward of Cardinal, Ontario, Robert Cronkite of Plattsburgh, Andre Bedard of Champlain, Brandon Bedard of Champlain; 11 cousins; several great-aunts, uncles, distant cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Altona. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. from Holy Angels Church in Altona.

Interment will follow in St. Louis of France Cemetery.

Patricia N. Frederick

Plattsburgh — Patricia N. Frederick, 67, formerly of Beekman Towers, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Plattsburgh on Oct. 22, 1937, daughter of Clarence and Margaret (Carrow) Bruce.

Patricia was a graduate of Plattsburgh High School and later in her life she was a graduate of Our Lady of Victory Secretarial School. She had been employed by CVPH Medical Center and P&C. Patricia was a member and past president of Sweet Adelaines for a number of years. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend. She will be greatly missed by all.

Patricia is survived by her mother, Margaret Bruce of Plattsburgh; a son, Douglas and Cindy LaPorte of Jacksonville, N.C.; two daughters, Susan Cooper of Plattsburgh and Sharon Agoney and Dan Landrigan of Granby, Quebec; a sister, Donna and John Lindsay of Pueblo, Colo.; a brother, Dennis and Patti Bruce of Beekmantown; a sister, Karen Brim of Bedford, Ind.; a brother, David Bruce of Oskaloosa, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Gordon, Jennifer, Daniel James and Shaun LaPorte, Nicole Norris, Matthew and Anthony St. Germaine, Brianna Landrigan and Brenna Cooper; several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her stepchildren and stepgrandchildren from her second marriage, whom always held a special place in her heart.

Patricia was predeceased by her father, Clarence Bruce; her first husband, Gordon LaPorte; and her second husband, Roger Frederick.

Calling hours will be Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Aug. 22, 2005 at 1 p.m. from Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Yonkovig, pastor of St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh, officiating.

Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in West Plattsburgh.

Donations in Patricia's memory may be made to the Interfaith Food Shelf.

Dorothy E. Baehre

Plattsburgh — Mrs. Dorothy E. Baehre, 91, of Meadowbrook Health Care Facility, passed away there Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005. She was born in Buffalo, N.Y., on Jan. 31, 1914, the daughter of George and Hannah (Dulles) Salow.

Dorothy retired from the Travelers Insurance Company in Buffalo. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Plattsburgh and she had taught Sunday school in many Lutheran churches throughout her life. Dorothy was a member of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and was a former president of the American Lutheran Church Women in Buffalo, N.Y.

She was predeceased by her parents, George and Hannah Salow; and her husband, Franklin G. Baehre Sr.

She is survived by a son, Franklin Baehre Jr. and his wife Sandra of Plattsburgh; two grandchildren, Amanda Bokus and her husband Matthew of West Chazy and Franklin Baehre III and his wife Megan of Plattsburgh; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Madison Bokus.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer on Adirondack Lane, at a date and time to be announced.

Interment will be at the Holy Rest Cemetery, Cheektowaga, N.Y.

Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
