Richard P. Esposito
PLATTSBURGH —
Richard P. Esposito, 66, of Baltimore Way, died early Saturday morning,
Aug. 13, 2005, at his home.
He was born in
the Bronx, New York City, on Sept. 1, 1938, the son of Carmine and
Louise (Negro) Esposito.
Richard was a
veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1956 to 1959.
He married the
former Monica Ryan on July 2, 1960, at St. John's Church in Plattsburgh.
Richard owned
and operated Esposito and Son Freight Lines. He was a member of St.
John's Church, the Keeseville Elk's and he was a honorary member of the
Peru Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors
include his wife of 45 years, Monica Esposito of Plattsburgh; three sons
and daughters-in-law, Michael Esposito and his companion Sandy Peryea of
Peru, John and Michelle Esposito and Richie Esposito and his fiancée
Shelley Mancini of Peru; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Bernard
LaFountain of Plattsburgh and Lynne and Mark Garrand of Orlando, Fla.;
two sisters and brothers-in-law, Roseanne and William Dispennette of
Brentwood, N.Y., and Louise and Harold Egan of Farmingville, N.Y.; nine
grandchildren, Danielle and Lauren LaFountain, Chelsea and Ryan
Esposito, Zachary and Alexis Garrand, Dylan, Devin and Dereck Esposito;
and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours
will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker
Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
A Mass of
Christian burial will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. John's Church in
Plattsburgh.
Burial will
follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Donations may
be made to Hospice of the North Country.
Hubert J. Ouimet
Massena — Hubert
J. Ouimet, age 75, of Massena, N.Y., died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at
Massena Memorial Hospital in Massena, N.Y., where he had been a patient
since Aug. 8, 2005.
Mr. Ouimet was
employed by Sperlings Furniture Store as the store manager for 42 years.
He was born on Dec. 6, 1929, in Ogdensburg, the son of Fred and Lea
(Gauthier) Ouimet. He was a graduate of Massena High School and was
married to June Billings on May 28, 1949, at St. Mary’s in Massena.
She passed away on Oct. 17, 2002.
He is survived by
his son, Larry J. and Wendy L. Ouimet of Rochester Hills, Mich.; and one
daughter, Mrs. Haig (Linda) Basmajian of Rouses Point, N.Y.; four
grandchildren, Megan L. and Christopher J. Ouimet, Matthew G. and Jodie
Basmajian and Nicole A. Basmajian; also one great-granddaughter, Brooke
A. Basmajian; one sister and three brothers, Mrs. Verlin (Marquise)
Alguire, Edward and Ann Ouimet, Maurice and Bibiane Ouimet and Raymond
and Arlene Ouimet, all of Massena.
He was predeceased
by a brother, Howard J., on Feb. 9, 2005.
He was a past
member of the Massena Country Club and was a volunteer at the St.
Vincent de Paul Society, a member of the Downtown Merchants Assoc., and
the Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club. He was very active in the
Massena Knights of Columbus Council 1141 and was a member of the 4th
Degree Knights. He had been a past Grand Knight and was also a Knight of
the Year. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Memorial
contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church Memorial Fund, or
Masses in his memory or the charity of one’s choice.
Calling hours will
be at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena on Monday, Aug. 15, from 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services
will be Tuesday, Aug. 16, at St. Mary’s Church at 10 a.m. with the
pastor, Rev. J. Michael Gaffney, presiding. Burial will follow at
Calvary Cemetery in Massena.
Henry A. Williams,
78, of Washington Place, Cliff Haven, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at the
Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.
He was born in
Glens Falls, N.Y., on Nov. 13, 1926, the son of Ralph E. and Esther
(Williams) Williams.
Arrangements are
incomplete at this time with the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in
Plattsburgh.
DorothY M. Clark,
78, of 1412 County Route 25, Malone, N.Y., died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005,
at the summer home of her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Norman
Towle.
She was born Feb.
4, 1927, in Malone, N.Y., the daughter of Edward and Salina (Raville)
Gero.
There will be no
calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at
11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will take place in St. Joseph's
Cemetery, Ft. Covington Street Road.

through St. Mary-Murphy Funeral Home, Inc.
Gerard Theberge,
88, of Tupper Lake, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at the Adirondack
Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
He was born Feb.
5, 1917, in Lawrence, Mass.
There will be a
graveside service on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in
Tupper Lake, with full military honors.
Arrangements are
with the Fortune-Keough-Rennell Funeral Home.
