Vivian E. (Rabideau) Yasment
Manchester, N.H.
— Vivian E. (Rabideau) Yasment, 71, of 230 Circle Road Manchester, N.H.,
died at Ridgewood Center in Bedford, N.H., on Aug. 2, 2005.
She was born in
Standish, N.Y., on July 15, 1934, the daughter of the late Fred and
Josephine Rabideau and had been a Manchester, N.H., resident for the
past 20 years.
She is survived
by a son, Andrew Yasment and his wife Patricia Letourneau of Derry; a
daughter, Deborah Longley and her husband Greg of Millington, Tenn.; two
grandchildren, Matthew and Alexis Longley of Millington, Tenn.; a
brother, Ronald Rabideau of Clayburg, N.Y.; a sister, Margaret
"Tootsie" Yasment of Clayburg, N.Y.; and several nephews,
nieces and cousins. She was also survived by her Bichon Frise, Pookie,
who was also her best friend. She will be missed by her many wonderful
friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by a grandson, Joshua.
A memorial
gathering will take place on Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Cremation
Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, N.H. A memorial
service will follow in the Cremation Society Chapel at 7 p.m. An
additional memorial gathering will take place on Wednesday evening at
the Brown Funeral Home, Cadyville, N.Y., from 6 to 7 p.m. with a
memorial service to follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
The family
requests that plants be sent in lieu of flowers.

John J. Doctor
Wellington,
Fla. — John J. Doctor, from Wellington, Fla., passed away peacefully
on Aug. 4, 2005. He was born in Latrobe, Pa., in 1925 and grew up in
Buffalo, N.Y., one of seven children.
Mr. Doctor was
predeceased by his wife of 49 years, the former Camilla McConnell and a
daughter, Susan.
Survivors
include his children, Michael (Nancy) Doctor of Skaneateles, N.Y.,
Thomas Doctor of Wellington, Fla., and his daughter, Christine Reccoppa
of Bayville, N.Y.; the proud grandpa of 10 grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim (Cindy) Docktor of Buffalo, N.Y.; a
niece, Mary Anne (Ken) Springer of West Palm Beach, Fla. He is also
survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
Mr. Doctor was
a Naval veteran, having served in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters
during World War II. He was an avid athlete having played semi-pro
football in Buffalo, N.Y. Mr. Doctor joined the PGA of America in 1964
and was an accomplished player. He started as Junior Champion for the
Buffalo District Golf Association in 1940. Mr. Doctor went on to become
Northeastern New York’s Player of the Year, 1975 and Senior's
Champion, 1975, 76 and 77. He was the former head pro of Bluff Point.
The Doctor
family will receive their friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8 at
Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road., Lake Worth, Fla.
Funeral
services will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at the funeral
home. Mr. Doctor will be laid to rest following funeral services at Our
Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, Fla.
In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mr. Doctor to Hospice of
Palm Beach County.
