Ruby C. Arquette

Peru — Ruby C. Arquette, 88, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2005, at her residence.

She was born in Ellenburg on July 12, 1917, the daughter of Benjamin and Carrie (Ormsby) Collins.

She was employed as a housekeeper at Plattsburgh State University and at many local residences for many years.

She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Lincoln and Wanda Collins; a son-in-law, Albert LaValley of Mooers; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Joseph Arquette, died in 1982. A daughter, Gertrude LaValley, died in 1973. Her brothers, Odell and Wilkie Collins, also died earlier.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Ellenburg Depot. A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from St. James Cemetery in Cadyville.

Gloria A. Bezio

Peru — Gloria A. Bezio, 67, of the Hallock Hill Road, Peru, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Keeseville, March 6, 1938, the daughter of Amos and Evelyn (Crevier) Bourgeois. Gloria was a 1956 graduate of Keeseville Central School.

She married Warren A. Bezio, Nov. 19, 1966, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Maywood, Calif., and returned to live in the North Country.

Gloria was a communicant of the Catholic Community of Keeseville. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her roses and flowers, fishing, four-wheeling, knitting and completing word find books.

She was employed by the Clinton County Department of Social Services in the Medical Division from 1956 to 1960. She then left the area for California and worked as a head teller for Crocker Citizens Bank in Maywood, Calif., from 1961 to November 1966. She then returned to her position with Clinton County and worked in the Medicaid Division from 1967 to October 1993, when she retired.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Warren A. Bezio of Peru; one son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Amanda Bezio of Morrisonville; and a granddaughter, Tayler Joyce Bezio.

She was predeceased by her parents, Amos, June 1, 1981, and Evelyn, Jan. 6, 2005; and one sister, Ramona Bourgeois McCoy, Jan. 28, 2001.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 9 a.m. at St. John's Church in Keeseville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Donations may be made to Masses in her memory.

Florence M. Robare, 73, of Peru died Friday Aug. 5, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on May 31, 1932, the daughter of Cornelius and Ida Mae Spring.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. A full obituary will appear at a later date.

The O'Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh is in charge of arrangements.

Ruby Gandenberger, 91, of the Cedar Hedge Nursing Home and formerly of Flynn Avenue, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, at the Cedar Hedge Nursing Home in Rouses Point.

She was born in Johnson, Vt., on July 19, 1914, daughter of the late Thomas Edward and Edith Ella (Atwell) Bennett.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are with the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
