Anthony M. Glebus
WITHERBEE, NY —
Anthony M. Glebus, 89, of Silver Hill Road, Witherbee, died Wednesday,
July 20, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center, Plattsburgh, N.Y.
He was born in
Witherbee, on June 12, 1916, the son of Matthew and Catherine (Dembrosky)
Glebus.
He was a retired
employee of Republic Steel Corporation, Mineville, N.Y. with a 38 year
service. In earlier years he worked in the Civilian conservation
Corporation planting trees all over the North Country. He resided in
Vero Beach, Fla., for the past 23 winters. He enjoyed hunting, fishing,
gardening and had a passion for bowling.
He is survived by
his wife of 61 years, Florence (Trudeau) Glebus; his two sons, Anthony
Glebus of Lewis, N.Y. and Gary Glebus of Schroon Lake, N.Y.; his sister,
Anna Podres of Witherbee, N.Y.; his grandchildren, Tim, Scott and
Geoffrey; his great-grandchildren, Jake and Tara; and several nieces and
nephews.
Calling hours will
be held Thursday, July 21, 2005, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Harland Funeral
Home in Port Henry.
A Mass of
Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, July 22, 2005 at 10 a.m. at
the Church of All Saints, Mineville. Burial will follow in St. Peter and
Paul Cemetery, Moriah, N.Y.
Marjorie Glenn Cronin
PLATTSBURGH —
Marjorie Glenn Cronin, 91, died July 19, 2005, at the home of David and
Lynne Glenn, her son and his wife, where she had been under the
incredible care of Hospice for the last several days. She had been a
resident at Lake Forest in Plattsburgh for the past few years.
Marjorie or Midge,
as she preferred to be called, was born in Plattsburgh, Feb. 24, 1914,
the daughter of Charles L. and Florence (Tromblee) Dailey.
She was most proud
of her family, her Episcopal faith and her circle of friends from
boating, tennis, Lake Forest and church.
Midge always said
how fortunate she had been to find two wonderful men to share life's
journey with. The first was Robert E. Glenn, her high school sweetheart,
who she married in 1936. They had four sons. The survivors are Robert
and his wife Louise Glenn of Mexico, David and wife Lynne of Plattsburgh
and Stephen and his wife Debbie of Glens Falls; a son, Ralph Glenn
predeceased her in 1992. Two special daughters-in law also survive,
Josie Glenn of California and Rosemary and her husband David DiRenzo of
Plattsburgh. There are 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren with
an eleventh due in a matter of days.
After her husband
Bob Glenn died in 1973, Midge met George Cronin one day in the gift shop
of the old Royal Savage Inn. He became the second love of her life and
they married in 1976, Midge is also survived by George's sons, Thomas
Cronin and his companion Lorraine Streeter of Plattsburgh, Peter and
Barbara Cronin of Oceanside, N.Y. and Richard and Sandy Cronin of
Morrisonville. There are an additional eight grandchildren. Midge and
George had 14 wonderful years together until he died in 1990.
Midge and her
husband Bob were founding members of the Plattsburgh Riding and Driving
Club, Beartown Ski Area and the Plattsburgh Yacht Club. She was active
in community affairs as a member of the Civilian Air Patrol in the
Second World War, Junior League, Little Theater, and the Red Cross. She
was an active horsewoman having ridden her horses in many area parades
and shown them at riding events across the North Country. As a member of
the Bay Club she played league tennis until she was 87. Midge also loved
golf and belonged to the Bluff Point Golf and Country Club.
She is also
predeceased by her only sister, Dorothy Carter this past December.

Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Calling hours are
Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Her funeral will
be celebrated at Trinity Episcopal Church, Trinity Park, Plattsburgh, at
10 a.m. Friday, morning July 22, 2005, with the the Rev. John Sorenson,
presiding. Burial will follow in the family plot in Riverside Cemetery.

memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country, 43 Durkee St., Suite
200, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
MARGARET
ANN BRAULT, 58,
of St. Petersburg, Fla. and most recently of Lecanto, Fla., passed away
Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness, Fla.,
under the care of Hospice of Citrus County Florida.
Peggy was born
Jan. 1, 1947, the daughter of Katherine and Charles (Pattno) Goddeau.
Arrangements are
incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral Home Inc. in
Plattsburgh.
FREDERICK
J. CHARETTE, 59,
of Webster Street, Malone, N.Y., died Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at
Fletcher Allen Medical Center.
Born Nov. 17,
1945, in Malone, N.Y., he was the son of Leo F. and Gladys LaCombe
Charette.
Calling hours will
be Thursday, July 21, 2005, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the St. Mary-Murphy
Funeral Home chapel.
A funeral service
will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in the St. Mary-Murphy Funeral Home
chapel. Burial will take place in Notre Dame Cemetery.

DONALD
JOSEPH DESO, 78,
died at his home Tuesday, July 19, 2005.
He was born in
Rouses Point, N.Y., on Dec. 25, 1926, the son of Harold and Irene
(Bailey) Deso.

be held at the Huestis Funeral Home, Willsboro, Sunday, July 24, 2005,
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral Mass
will be held at St. Joseph's Church, Essex, N.Y., on Monday, July 25,
2005 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A full obituary
