Donald "Dean" Jones
Lincoln, R.I. — Dean Jones, 43, of Lincoln, R.I.,
died Monday, June 20, 2005, at Miriam Hospital, Providence, R.I. He was
the beloved husband of Susan (Kubic) Jones.
Born in Montreal, Canada, he was the son of Helen M.
Jones of Peru, N.Y., and the late Leslie W. Jones. Prior to residing in
Lincoln, he lived in New Jersey and Kansas City, Mo. He grew up in Peru,
N.Y., and graduated from Peru High School in 1980.
He was the store manager for Home Depot, Mansfield,
Mass., since the store's opening in February 2004. Prior to that, he was
a buyer for Home Depot at their New Jersey and Canton, Mass., offices.
He loved and enjoyed many sports, especially
football, which he played at Peru High School, Cornell University and
rooting for his beloved Washington Redskins. But his greatest joy was
family and being the best husband, father, son and provider he could be
for them.
Besides his wife and mother, he leaves a daughter,
Kelly N. Jones, at home; two brothers, Wayne B. Jones of Canadaguia,
N.Y., and Jody E. Jones of Port St. John, Fla.; one sister, Carmen D.
Bradham, Tampa, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at
the J.J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Route 122, Cumberland,
R.I. A Eucharistic service will be held at 10 a.m. in Christ Church,
Lonsdale Avenue, Lincoln, R.I.

Norman W. Allard
Plattsburgh — Norman W. Allard, 96, of Oak Street,
passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at CVPH Medical Center in
Plattsburgh. He was born in Waterford, 1909, son of the late Joseph and
Melinda (Riel) Allard.
Norman was deeply religious and a member of St.
Peter's Church in Plattsburgh; he formerly lived on Champlain Street and
was employed by Georgia Pacific Paper Mill in Plattsburgh, retiring in
1971 after 38 years of service. He was one of the last Champlain Canal
Boatman, being born on the canal boat T.M. Leonard in Waterford, N.Y. He
had resided in Willsboro, Florida and Texas, returning to Plattsburgh in
2000. Norman enjoyed woodworking and continued into his 90s.
Norman is survived by four children, William and Joan
Allard of Willsboro and Cape Cod, Raymond and Shirley Allard of
Willsboro, Robert and Taunia Allard of Plattsburgh and James and Donna
Allard of Plattsburgh; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Calling hours were held Thursday evening from 7 to 9
p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial
will be celebrated Friday, June 24, at 9 a.m. from St. Peter's Church in
Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Champlain next
to his beloved wife, Beatrice, who he had deeply missed since her death.
Lillian L. Donah
Cadyville — Lillian L. Donah, 90, of Bart Merrill
Road, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2005, at Meadowbrook Nursing
Home in Plattsburgh. She was born in Standish on May 13, 1915, daughter
of Walter and Exilda (Cote/Cota) Donah Sr.
Lillian was a member of St. Joseph's Church in
Dannemora. She was a religious Sister, working in the Chicago, Ill.,
area in a hospital as an X-ray technician and was a teacher in Quebec,
Canada. Lillian was the caregiver for her mother, Exilda Donah and her
sister, Dora Donah.
Lillian is survived by a brother, Richard J. Donah,
of Plattsburgh; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by
special friends, David and Brenda Donah, their children, Danielle, Kelly
and Nicole Donah.
Lillian was predeceased by three brothers, Francis,
Walter and Wilfred Donah; and a sister, Dora Donah.
Calling hours will be Sunday, June 26, from 2:30 to 6
p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Cadyville. A Mass of Christian burial will
be celebrated on Monday, June 27, at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph's Church in
Dannemora. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Masses may be offered in her memory or donations may
be made to Hospice of the North Country. The family offers a special
thank you to the nurses and staff of Meadowbrook Nursing Home for the
loving care they provided to Lillian and to the Hospice personnel,
especially Sister Joan, Sister Mary Ann and Simone Marcotte.
Following the funeral, a reception will be held at
the QWL building in Dannemora.
Herbert M. Lacey
Willsboro — Herbert M. Lacey, 86, formerly of
Willsboro, N.Y., died at the Horace Nye Nursing Home in Elizabethtown on
Wednesday, June 22, 2005. He was born in Willsboro on June 8, 1919, the
son of William Henry and Lottie (Cooley) Lacey. Mr. Lacey was a member
of the Willsboro United Methodist Church.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945, during
which time he received the APTC Ribbon with one Bronze Service Star,
Good Conduct Ribbon ATCM, EAME Ribbon with two Bronze Service Stars,
World War II Victory Ribbon and the Combat Infantry Badge. He served in
the North Apennines, Po Valley and the Aleutians.
He worked as a baler for the NY and Penn Paper
Company for many years.
He is survived by three sons, Gerald of Auburn, N.Y.,
Wayne of Florida and Timothy of Lake Clear; one sister, Irene Hulse of
Willsboro; several grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers Robert, William,
James, John, LeRoy and Victor Lacey.
Calling hours will be held at the Huestis Funeral
Home, Maple Street, Willsboro, on Wednesday, June 29, from 10 a.m. to
noon. Funeral services will be held at noon at the funeral home. Burial
will follow in Memorial Cemetery on Lake Shore Road, Willsboro. A
reception will be held at the Methodist Church following burial.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested
donations in his memory be made to the Willsboro Rescue 4 Squad.
Margaret L. Boilard
CHAMPLAIN — Margaret L. Boilard, 85, of Champlain,
passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center in
Plattsburgh.
Mrs. Boilard was born August 30, 1919, in Ormstown,
Quebec, the youngest child of Robert and Lillian (Campbell) Lucas. She
graduated from high school in Champlain. In January of 1942 she married
Henry Boilard; he predeceased her on March 11, 1967.
She was employed at Wyeth in Rouses Point as an
accounting clerk in the payroll department for 20 years, retiring in
1987. Mrs. Boilard was a member of the Champlain Literary Club, part of
a Wednesday morning bowling league and an active member of Christ and
St. John's Episcopal Church in Champlain, where she served as treasurer
for many years.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary L. and her
husband Willard Lee Gordon of Mooers; four grandchildren, Bonnie Gordon
and her companion Dave Mitchell of Shelburne, Vt., Cheryl and John
Miller of Naperville, Ill., Laurie and Dan DeCoste of Mooers Forks and
Emily and Jason DuBray of Chapel Hill, N.C.; five great-grandchildren,
Brandon, Cody and Cassidy Miller and Tyler and Sadie DeCoste. Survivors
also include four nieces, one nephew and several cousins.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was
predeceased by two brothers, Allan and Elmer.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, June 28, from 6 to
9 p.m. at the M.B. Clark Funeral Home, 196 Elm St., Champlain. A funeral
will be held on Wednesday, June 29, at 11 a.m. in Christ and St. John's
Episcopal Church, 16 Butternut St., Champlain. Burial will follow in
Glenwood Cemetery on Oak Street in Champlain.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to
Christ and St. John's Episcopal Church.
Denis Quintin Moore
WESTPORT — Denis Quintin Moore, 60, of 2565 County
Route 10, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady
after a nine month struggle.
He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., Sept. 28, 1944, the
son of William Q. and Margaret (Sullivan) Moore.
Denis grew up in the Doo-Wop era of the 1950s in the
High Bridge section of the Bronx in the shadows of Yankee Stadium.
He moved to his beloved Adirondacks in 1969 and made
them his home. In 1974 he started his own insurance and financial
services business with his wife Clorinda, who continues that tradition
today. He was a member of the Adirondack Association of Life
Underwriters and was very active in the state and local chapters during
the 1970s and 1980s as well as other local causes. As a lifelong film
lover, he recently championed the saving of the historic Strand Theatre
for the Arts in Plattsburgh. He loved to swim, and was a great supporter
of local athletics and especially enjoyed following the accomplishments
of his children. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband,
father, grandfather and friend and he will be missed greatly.
He is survived by his wife Clorinda (Badilla) Moore
of Westport, his mother Margaret M. Sullivan of Paramus N.J., two
daughters and sons-in-law Lauren Moore and Stephen Boyle of Hartsdale,
N.Y., Julie Freeman-Moore and Aaron Freeman of Clarksville Tenn., two
sons Alexander Moore of New York, N.Y., Anthony Moore of Westport, N.Y.,
two brothers and a sister-in-law, Joseph P. and Mary Lou Moore of
Westport, Patrick Moore of Ogdensburg, N.Y., three sisters and a
brother-in-law, Margaret Moore of Paramus N.J., Jeanette Moore of
Ireland, Mary Jane and Jerome Rigoroso of Yonkers N.Y., and four
grandchildren Lachlan Liam Boyle, Blake Chiara Boyle, Francis
Freeman-Moore, Isabella Freeman-Moore, and a sister-in-law Hildegard
Moore of Elizabethtown.
Calling hours will be held Friday June 24 from 2 to 4
p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at W.M. Marvin’s Sons funeral home in
Elizabethtown, a funeral Mass will be conducted by Monsignor Peter Riani
Saturday, June 25 at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s church in
Elizabethtown. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Sadie Mae
Baker, 11-day-old infant daughter of Steven A. Martin and Julie M.
Baker, both of Keeseville, passed into the arms of heaven, Wednesday,
June 22, 2005, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Center in Burlington,
Vt.
She was born at
the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, June 11, 2005.
Burial will be
held at a later date in the Port Douglas Cemetery in Keeseville.
Arrangements are
by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville.
