Maurice H. Bessette

DANNEMORA — Mr. Maurice H. "Moe" Bessette, 91, of Smith Street, Dannemora, passed away Monday, June 6, 2005, at the home of his son Robert in San Juan Capistrano, Calif.

He was born in Malone, N.Y., on Oct. 15, 1913, the son of Moses and Lucia (LaVoie) Bessette.

Maurice was an avid bowler and a member of the Plattsburgh Bowling Association Board of Directors, a life member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Plattsburgh Lodge 621. He had been a scout master with the Boy Scouts and he enjoyed the out of doors, golfing, hunting and he was an expert fly fisherman. Maurice was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Dannemora.

He was predeceased by his parents, Moses and Lucia Bessette; his wife, Frances (Alpert) Bessette; his sisters, Eleanor Bessette and Evelyn McMillan.

Maurice is survived by his three sons, William Bessette and his wife Judy of Chazy Lake, N.Y., Robert Bessette and his wife Nancy of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., Richard Bessette of San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren, William Bessette and his wife Diane of Burlington, N.J., Michael and his wife Shannon of Dannemora, Kristen Bessette and Tracy Bessette both of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; a great-granddaughter, Lauren Bessette of Burlington, N.J.; a sister, Marjorie Bessette of Dannemora; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 1 p.m. from St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora with the Rev. Donald Kramberg, pastor, as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Mausoleum on Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh.

Friends wishing may make donations to Hospice of the North Country or Dannemora Rescue Squad.

Jordan Thomas Steven Reiblein

Burlington, Vt. — Jordan Thomas Steven Reiblein, one month and 12 days old, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2005, at Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Burlington, Vt.

He was born at Fletcher Allen on April 27, 2005, son of Larry Thomas Cooney and Danielle M. Reiblein.

Jordan is survived by his parents, Larry Thomas Cooney and Danielle M. Reiblein of Plattsburgh; other siblings; paternal grandparents, Pam Dapo of Plattsburgh, Larry Cooney of Mooers; maternal grandparents, Christopher and Sherry Reiblein of Plattsburgh; paternal great-grandmother, Geraldine Kimbler of Plattsburgh; maternal grandparents, Marion Breyette of Plattsburgh, Phyllis Reiblein of Plattsburgh, William Reiblein of Indiana; his godparents, Pam Dapo and Steven Reiblein; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be Saturday, June 11, 2005, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2005, at 11 a.m. from Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.

Donations in Jordan's memory may be made to his family.

Mary A. Wodjenski, 98, of Queensbury and formerly of Plattsburgh, passed away Thursday June 9, 2005, at the home of her daughter.

Mary was born in Plattsburgh on Dec. 24, 1906, daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Quinn) Ryan.

Calling hours will be Sunday June 12, 2005, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday June 13, 2005, at 10 a.m. from St. John's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
