PLATTSBURGH — A life ended too soon for a man loved and respected by many.

Eric Pellerin, beloved son of Edmond and Catherine Pellerin, a protective brother, affectionate uncle and loyal friend, died tragically at the age of 26.

Eric touched many lives with his generosity, kindness and love. He enjoyed life and liked to tease, which was always accompanied by a grin that one couldn’t help but return with their own.

Eric graduated from Beekmantown High School in 1997. He was a standout athlete in football and wrestling. He was dedicated and demonstrated a leadership ability that earned him the respect of his coaches, teammates and opponents. Eric went on to continue his education and wrestling at SUNY Cobleskill, earning an associate’s degree in Agricultural Business/Dairy Herd Management.

All through high school and after completing college, Eric worked by his father’s side on the family farm. Even after becoming employed by Luck Brother’s Construction, he continued to work on the farm, being the dedicated and loving son that he was to his parents.

Eric enjoyed being active and loved the outdoors. He was happy working in the fields and hoped to purchase his own land someday.

Eric was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, NASCAR and country music. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, fourwheeling and weightlifting.

His love for weightlifting and natural athletic build provided him with arm muscles that earned him awards and admiration. Eric was known by his friends as "Pell," "El," and "Farmer."

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and pets, Sampson and Taz.

He leaves behind his loving parents, Edmond and Catherine Pellerin, three sisters and brothers-in-law: Lisa and Jerry Juntunen of Malone, Amy and Steve Criss of Plattsburgh, Beth and Joe Parrotte of Dannemora; three nephews: Doug, Derek and Ryan; two nieces: Alysia (who was also Eric’s goddaughter) and Rachel; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
