Published: 6/5/05Eric H. PellerinPlattsburgh — A life ended too soon for a man loved and respected by many. Eric Pellerin, beloved son of Edmond and Catherine Pellerin, a protective brother, affectionate uncle and loyal friend, died tragically at the age of 26 on June 3, 2005. Eric graduated from Beekmantown High School in 1997. He was a standout athlete in football and wrestling. He was dedicated and demonstrated a leadership ability that earned him the respect of his coaches, teammates and opponents. Eric went on to continue his education and wrestling at SUNY Cobleskill, earning an associate's degree in Agricultural Business/Dairy Herd Management. He returned to Beekmantown, sharing his experience and love of the sport to coach the j.v. and modified wrestling teams. In addition, he continued his eagle pride with an extensive collection of eagle figurines. He was employed by Luck Brothers Construction in Plattsburgh for several years. Eric was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, NASCAR and country music. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, four-wheeling and weightlifting. His love for weightlifting and natural athletic build provided him with arm muscles that earned him awards and admiration. Eric was known by his friends as "Pell," "E," and "Farmer." He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and pets, Sampson and Taz. He leaves behind his loving parents, Edmond and Catherine Pellerin; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa and Jerry Juntunen of Malone, Amy and Steve Criss of Plattsburgh and Beth and Joe Parrotte of Dannemora; three nephews, Doug, Derek and Ryan; two nieces, Alysia (who was also Eric's goddaughter) and Rachel; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the O'Neill - Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday from St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Margaret (Peg) D. MacDonaldMoriah, N.Y. — Margaret (Peg) D. MacDonald, 86, of Moriah, N.Y., died at the Porter Hospital in Middlebury, Vt., on June 3, 2005, with her children at her side. She was born on Nov. 11, 1918, to the late Frank E. and Mae (Cullen) Danaher in Syracuse, N.Y. On March 28, 1948, she married Allan D. MacDonald in Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Orange, N.J. Her husband predeceased her on May 30, 1993. Mrs. MacDonald was a graduate of Westport Central School and Plattsburgh Normal School. She began her teaching career in Mineville, N.Y., in 1941, and retired from Moriah Central School in June 1984. She was a charter member of Sewing Club, secretary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the E'town-Westport Garden Club, the Moriah Central School Retired Teachers, the NYS Retired Teachers Association and the Red Hat Society. She is survived by her four daughters, Mrs. Gail (George) Pilger of Moriah, N.Y., Mrs. Allison (Michael) Sharrow of South Glens Falls, N.Y., Mrs. Jean (Rory) Frazee of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Patricia (David) Hudson of South Glens Falls; and one son, Allan D. (Susan) MacDonald of Nashua, N.H.; six grandchildren, Michael and David Sharrow, Rebecca Hudson, Arielle, Julianne and Keenan MacDonald; four sisters, Emily Mascola, Genevieve Petricelli and Frances Whek, all of Toms River, N.J., and Audrey Kole of West Orange, N.J.; two brothers, Nicholas Liguori of Phoenix, Ariz., and Frank E. Danaher of Hamburg, N.J.; one cousin, James Danaher of East Weymouth, Mass.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her granddaughter, Kristin Margaret Pilger; her sister, Irene Cullen Deeb; and her stepmother, Mildred Danaher. Calling hours will be held at the Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry, N.Y., on Sunday, June 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church on Monday, June 6, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Moriah, N.Y. Donations in her memory may be made to the Town of Moriah Ambulance Squad. Corey A. Jaquish, 20, of Willsboro, died Friday, June 3, 2005, in Willsboro, N.Y. Calling hours will be held Monday, June 6, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Huestis Funeral Home, Maple Street, Willsboro. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Philip's of Jesus Church, Main Street, Willsboro, on Tuesday, June 7, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Lakeshore Road, with the Rev. James Delbel officiating. A full obituary will follow in the Monday Press-Republican. Lena Ruth Donovan, 98, of Chilson, died Saturday, June 4, 2005, at the Indian River Nursing Home of Granville. Arrangements are incomplete at this time and are under the direction of the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home of Ticonderoga. Bonita J. "Bonnie" Corliss, 48, formerly of Merrill, N.Y., died Saturday, June 4, 2005, at CVPH in Plattsburgh, N.Y., where she had been a patient since May 28. She had been a resident at the Evergreen Nursing Home in Plattsburgh since December 2004. She was born in Malone, N.Y., Feb. 25, 1957, the daughter of John R. and Joyce (Perry) LaMere of Merrill, N.Y. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced on Tuesday through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service, Inc., of Malone. Enola Snyder Maus, 84, of Tupper Lake, died Friday, June 3, 2005, at the St. Regis Nursing Home, her home for the past few years. She was born Dec. 9, 1920, in St. Regis Falls, the daughter of Leonard Peter and Emma Elizabeth (LaChance) Ploof. Friends may call at the Richer Funeral Home, Tupper Lake, on Tuesday, June 7, from 1 p.m. until the family departs for a 2 p.m. funeral Mass at St. Alphonsus Church. Burial will follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. |
