Published: 5/27/05Roland Joseph LemieuxRichmond, Va. — Roland Joseph Lemieux, 88, of Richmond, Va., died Tuesday, May 24, 2005. A native of Plattsburgh, N.Y., he was the son of the late Frank and Rose Lemieux. He was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church in Richmond, Va., and past member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Palm Bay, Fla. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Emma Jeannette Lemieux; and their son, Robert of Palm Bay, Fla. He is survived by his children, William and his wife Linda of Kissimmee, Fla., Ronald (Rick) and his wife Nancy of Edmond, Okla., Linda Schiele and her husband Georg of Flanders, N.J., Joan Robinson and her husband Norman of Richmond, Va., and David and his wife Nancy of Fredericksburg, Va. He is survived by 18 grandchildren; 18 great - grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. His surviving sister is Florence Hay of Plattsburgh, N.Y. Memorial services will be held at Epiphany Catholic Church in Richmond on Saturday, May 28, at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Dale Memorial Park in Virginia. Arrangements are with Woody’s Funeral Home, Richmond, Va. Deborah Lynn TurnerMooers — Deborah Lynn Turner, 45, of Mooers, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born July 5, 1959, in Fort Dix, N.J., the daughter of Joseph Fredette Jr. and Peggy Fredette. She graduated from Northeastern Clinton Central School, attended college and earned a bachelor’s degree. Deborah was an artist, an animal lover and a member of exotic animal rescue. She loved her two ferrets, Willow and Yenta. Survivors include her parents, John Fredette Jr. of Louisville, Ky., Peggy Fredette of Rouses Point; her companion, Don Rauch of Mooers; two daughters, Angelique Turner and her companion Jason Sample of Mooers Forks and Hayley Turner and her companion Brad Lashway of Ellenburg Depot; one sister, Tina Marie Senecal-Brucia and her husband Chris of Charleston, S.C.; two brothers, Joel Fredette and his wife Wonda of Des Moines, Iowa, and Christopher Owens of St. Joseph, Mo.; three grandchildren, Austin Monette, Dustin and Dalton Lashway; several nieces and nephews; her companion’s family, Paula Rauch, David Rauch and his son Thomas; Donald Rauch Jr., Dorothy May Rauch and her daughter Harlie, Kathrine Rauch and Lynn Barrett. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Rouses Point. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, May 30, at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Rouses Point. Donations may be made to the Mooers Fire Department. Edith Safford, 96, of 60 Church St., Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. She was born in South Wales, United Kingdom, on Feb. 21, 1909, the daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Jane (Davis) Hawkins. Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Lawthers of St. Luke's Church officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery in Malone. Madore H. Lamica, 90, of Fawn Ridge Drive, Lake Placid, N.Y., died May 26, 2005, at Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid, where he had been a resident since November 2000. He was born in Malone, N.Y., on Sept. 3, 1914, the son of Emile and Lydia (Nason) Lamica. Calling hours will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid. A Bible vigil will be held Friday at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday at the Reiss Memorial Chapel in Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid at noon. The Rev. Patrick O'Reilly will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery. Debra A. Wood, 48, of Filion Lane, Champlain, died Thursday, May 26, 2005, at her home.
