Published: 5/23/05Gary V. LaDieuHOOKSETT, N.H. — Gary V. LaDieu, 56, of Hooksett, N.H., died suddenly Friday, May 20, 2005, at the Elliot Hospital. He was born in Plattsburgh, on November 7, 1948, the son of Veronica (Blais) LaDieu and the late Vernon LaDieu. He was a graduate of Plymouth State College and had served with the U.S. Army National Guard. Mr. LaDieu had been an insurance agent with Bankers Life and Casualty in Concord, N.H., for the past 16 years. Prior to that he had worked for Schwan Sales for five years. An outdoor sports enthusiast who enjoyed hunting and fishing, he was a member of the NRA and the Kinnicum Gun Club. He loved spending time with his family and was great at playing Pretty Pretty Princess with his daughters. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Theresa (Veer) LaDieu of Hooksett; one son, Stephen Gary Carpenter of Buford, Ga.; two daughters, Ashley and Hanna LaDieu, both of Hooksett; his mother, Veronica LaDieu of Keeseville; a brother, Wayne LaDieu of Keeseville. Calling hours will be at the Lambert Funeral Home and Crematory, 1799 Elm St., (corner of North Street), Manchester, N.H., on Tuesday, May 24, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gary LaDieu Family Educational Fund, care of Bank of New Hampshire, 300 Franklin St., Manchester, N.H. 03101.
