Published: 5/22/05Angeline Marie MillerPlattsburgh — Angeline Marie Miller, 50, formerly of Plattsburgh and most recently of Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath, England, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2005, at the West Suffolk Hospital in England. She was born in South Ruislip, England, daughter of Hazen Wayne and Anna (Armstrong) Moore. Angeline was a graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh. She was an elementary school teacher for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools at RAF Lakenheath, England. Angeline was predeceased by her parents, Hazen and Anna Moore; and her brother, John Moore. Angeline was fun loving, enjoyed a good laugh and was filled with an unquenchable wanderlust. Her endless optimism, adventurous spirit, love of friends, music, antiquing, traveling and story telling will always be remembered by her numerous friends worldwide. She loved family gatherings. You could usually find Angie in the center of all the activity, laughing, singing or telling a joke. No one escaped her contagious enthusiasm for fun. She was never happier then when surrounded by her family, friends, students and babies. Angie firmly believed life was for living and she lived each day to the fullest encouraging all who knew her to be spontaneous and adventurous. Her charm, wit and warm heart were endearing to all who met her. Angie will be greatly missed and remembered fondly for her kindness, concern, love of sharing time with others and her never-ending enthusiasm for life. She is survived by her husband, retired Master Sergeant David Joseph Miller, formerly of Plattsburgh and also most recently of RAF Lakenheath; her children, Nicole of Clifton Park, N.Y., Kyle, Matthew and Julie, all of RAF Lakenheath, England; a sister, Marjorie Ruiz and her husband Bobby of Pflugerville, Texas; brothers Gerald Moore and his wife Sheryl of Plattsburgh, Kevin Moore and his wife Anna of Austin, Texas, Sean Moore and his wife Judi of Chazy, N.Y., and Patrick Moore of Ausable Chasm, N.Y. She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law, Don and Sandy Miller of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; and a sister-in-law, Karen Forbes. Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 25, at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Lulu M. HartGLEN BURNIE, Md. — Lulu M. Hart, formerly of Keeseville, N.Y., died May 6, 2005, at North Arundel Hospital of pulmonary disease. She was born in AuSable Forks on May 27, 1925, the daughter of Thomas and Jennie (Joy) Ryan. Ms. Hart worked for many years as a waitress in Keeseville at Bailey’s, Gordon’s and McLean’s restaurants. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Cumberland (William); son Shane L. Hart (Teresa); grandsons Edward and Scott Galarneau and Shane M. Hart; and a great-granddaughter, Breeanna Galarneau. All are from the Glen Burnie and Edgewood, Md., area. Also sisters Eleanor Perkins (Peter), Esther Trumbull (Robert); a brother, Emmet (Pat) Ryan; and many nieces and nephews. Her former husband, Lawrence Hart, preceded her in death on April 14, 2005. She was also predeceased by siblings Raymond Ryan, Harold Ryan, Marion Pelky, Helen LaVarnway, Doris Richards, Eileen King and Oscar Ryan. A viewing was held in Glen Burnie on May 9, 2005. Graveside services will take place at Holy Name Cemetery, AuSable Forks, on Wednesday, May 25, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hospice of the North Country. The O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh is in charge of arrangements. Norma J. GarrandPlattsburgh — Norma J. Garrand, 78, of Military Turnpike, died Friday, May 20, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh on Sept. 10, 1926, the daughter of George and Lucy (Donah) Gamache. She attended D’Youville Academy and enjoyed gardening, playing cards and bingo. She is survived by her husband, Mitchell Garrand; her children and spouses, Brenda (who was also her caregiver) and Robin Burl of Plattsburgh, Wayne and Nona Garrand of West Chazy, Sondra and Robert Mooso of West Chazy, Beverly and Gerald Ducatte of Winchester, Va., Michael and Margo Garrand of Stephens City, Va.; her grandchildren, Angela Garrand, Amanda Garrand, Timothy Mooso, Robin Label and Pierre, Gerald Ducatte Jr., Sarah Garrand, Benjamin Garrand, Bridget and Brandon Burl; and several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She also raised Gary Senecal and Patricia (Senecal) Fink. She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Patricia Fink; and brother, Gary Senecal. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday from St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville. Interment will follow at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Plattsburgh. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Emanuel P. AudinoWestport — Emanuel P. Audino, 84, of 107 Homeport Way, died Friday, May 20, 2005, at his home. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., April 25, 1921, the son of Leon and Jenny (Badame) Audino. He is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline Audino of Westport; one grandson, Geoffery Hoskins and his fiancée Jamie Spaulding of Westport; two brothers and their wives, Peter and Virginia Audino of Yarmouth Port, Mass., and Leon and Kathy Audino of Hendersonville, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at W.M. Marvin’s Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral Mass will be conducted by Monsignor Peter Rianni on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Phillip Neri in Westport. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Leonard "Panny" Paul ForetteMooers — Leonard Paul Forette, 69, died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Champlain on Dec. 16, 1935, the son of Roy D. and Promelia (Tallman) Forette. Panny loved playing country music on his guitar and singing with his family. He cherished his favorite baseball team, the Yankees. He loved playing jokes and having jokes played on him. He enjoyed watching wrestling with his grandson, Todd Alan. Panny was a family man. He was employed by Cumberland Head State Park for many years. Survivors include his wife Bernice of Mooers; three children, his son, Kevin P. Forette and his wife Rosemary of Mooers, his daughter, Pamela M. Johnson and her husband Randie of Schuyler Falls and his son Todd A. Forette and his wife Marsha of Mooers Forks; a brother, Roy D. Forette Jr. of Altona; a sister, Doris Lambert of West Chazy; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Heather, Allissa, Justin, Nolan, Amanda, Todd Jr. and Samantha. He was predeceased by his parents; and a granddaughter, Felecia. He was also predeceased by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. from St. Ann’s Church in Mooers Forks. Memorial donations may be made to the family. Ellen (Rice) JakobMesa, Ariz. — Ellen (Rice) Jakob, 61, of Mesa, Ariz., went home to be with the Lord on April 22, 2005. Born on Oct. 3, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Mildred Rice of Saranac, N.Y. Ellen is survived by one son, Joshua Jakob of Mesa, Ariz.; one daughter, Mary-Ellen Hodder of Schenectady, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Stephen, Breanna, Leah and Mayghan; and one great-grandson, Caleb Hodder, all of Schenectady, N.Y.; two brothers, Earl Rice of Youngstown, Fla., and Edwin Rice of Greenville, N.Y.; and one sister, Elsie Bohn of Mesa, Ariz. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Jennifer Hodder. Ellen graduated from Saranac Central High School and worked as secretary at the John Paulding School in Tarrytown, N.Y., for 14 years. While working as school secretary, she earned a bachelor’s of science degree from Empire State College and later went on to earn a nursing degree from the Cochran School of Nursing before retiring to Mesa, Ariz. Burial was at Schenectady, N.Y. Rev. Linda McIntyreSaranac Lake — Rev. Linda McIntyre, 63, 15 St. Bernard St., pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Saranac Lake, N.Y., died unexpectedly on May 19, 2005. Linda was born in Sandusky, Ohio, on June 20, 1941, the daughter of Howard and Iris Kautz. She graduated from Sandusky High School in 1959. After a semester at Bowling Green University, Linda went to Washington, D.C., to work for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where she met her husband, Keith. They were married on Feb. 18, 1961, in Bellevue, Ohio. After 14 years of traveling with her husband, who was serving in the U.S. Air Force in Turkey, Japan, Washington, D.C., Omaha, Neb., Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Tucson, Ariz., Keith and Linda first settled in Saranac, N.Y., in 1975. Then from 1978-1980 they lived in Titusville, Pa., her husband’s home town. Returning to Saranac, Linda started her ministerial studies with Empire State College and McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where she earned her bachelor of theology and masters of divinity degrees. She was then ordained in Troy Conference of The United Methodist Church and served for four years in Ellenburg/Ellenburg Center, nine years, in Wilmington, N.Y., and two and a half years in Saranac Lake. She is survived by her husband Keith; and daughter Iris Gillman, son-in-law Paul and their children, Trevor, Aaron, Kelsie and Brittany, daughter Kimberlee Lang, son-in-law David and their children, Amanda and Nicholas; her second mother, Winnie Kautz; brothers and sisters-in-law Lee and Karen, Michael and Gail, Danny and Laura and Ted; her sisters and brothers-in law, Ginger and Larry, Payn, Tami and Luther Stacey, Amy and Scott May and Kathy and Lino Candido. Linda was predeceased by her parents; and her daughter, Cynthia. Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 24, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fortune- Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Saranac Lake. The funeral will take place 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, at the First United Methodist Church, 63 Church St., Saranac Lake. District Superintendent Rev. Alan Delamater, Rev. Mark Demers, Rev. Sally White, Rev. Virginia Pierce and Rev. Marty Gilbert will officiate. There will be a memorial service at Sand Hill United Methodist Church, Mason Road, Sandusky, Ohio, Sunday, May 29, at 2 p.m. Due to the Memorial Day holiday, burial will be on Tuesday, May 31, at 1 p.m. at Sand Hill Cemetery across from the church. Memorial contributions in Rev. McIntyre’s memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church or Habitat for Humanity in care of the funeral home. Ruth V. Rynkowski, 86, of Lake Shore Road, Chazy, died Friday, May 20, 2005, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Gardenville, N.Y., on Aug. 20, 1918, the daughter of Anthony and Celia (Monin) Keicher. Arrangements are incomplete at this time with the Charles Meyer Funeral Home in Alden, N.Y. Local arrangements are under the direction of the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. |
