Published: 5/21/05Leonard "Panny" Paul ForetteMooers — Leonard Paul Forette, 69, died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Champlain on Dec. 16, 1935, the son of Roy D. and Promelia (Tallman) Forette. Panny loved playing country music on his guitar and singing with his family. He cherished his favorite baseball team, the Yankees. He loved playing jokes and having jokes played on him. He enjoyed watching wrestling with his grandson, Todd Alan. Panny was a family man. Survivors include his wife Bernice of Mooers; three children, his son, Kevin P. Forette and his wife Rosemary of Mooers, his daughter, Pamela M. Johnson and her husband Randie of Schuyler Falls and his son Todd A. Forette and his wife Marsha of Mooers Forks; a brother, Roy D. Forette Jr. of Altona; a sister, Doris Lambert of West Chazy; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Heather, Allissa, Justin, Nolan, Amanda, Todd Jr. and Samantha. He was predeceased by his parents; and a granddaughter, Felecia. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. from St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks. Memorial donations may be made to the family. William "Bill" Oliver, 67, of 129 Cold Brook Road, Vermontville, died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at his home with his wife at his side. Born in Gabriels, N.Y., on March 24, 1938, he was the son of Murray and Lena (Secord) Oliver. Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Church of the Nazarene in Vermontville, with Pastor David Drake officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Vermontville. Angeline Marie Miller, 50, of Harringswell, England, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2005, at the Barre-St. Edmond's Hospital in England. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Norma J. Garrand, 78, of Morrisonville, died Friday, May 20, 2005, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. Calling hours will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at a time to be announced at St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville. Interment will follow at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Plattsburgh. |
