Bruce N. Davison

Mooers Forks — Bruce N. Davison, 63, of Bush Road, Mooers Forks, died Monday, May 9, 2005, at his residence.

He was born in Mooers Forks on Oct. 26, 1941, the son of Norman E. and Leona (Lafountain) Davison.

He was employed in construction for many years and was a member of Local 186 in Plattsburgh.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and family and enjoyed his Walker fox hounds and hunting.

He is survived by his wife Marcia (Westcott) Davison; his mother, Leona Davison of Mooers Forks; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Brent and Nikki Davison of Plattsburgh, Brad Davison of Plattsburgh and Bryce Davison and his companion Kim Desmond of Mooers Forks; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Maria and Kenneth Foster of Rouses Point, Elizabeth Davison of Rouses Point and Catherine Donaldson-Brewster and Felton Brewster of Plattsburgh; five grandchildren, Kayleigh and Jordan Deno, Evan and Brendan Davison and Brody Davison; and several nieces and nephews.

His father, Norman Davison died Dec. 21, 2002; a sister, Betty Davison; and a nephew, David Lee Brewster, also died earlier.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. A Johnson, pastor of the Mooers United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Mooers Forks at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country or the Mooers Fire Department.

William F. "Bill" Aubin

PLATTSBURGH — Mr. William F. "Bill" Aubin, 61, of the Cross Road, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Buffalo on July 3, 1943 son of the late Gordon and Genevieve (Senecal) Aubin.

William worked for the Town of Plattsburgh, retiring in 1996 as the operator of the water and sewer plant in Champlain Park. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved playing horse shoes and enjoyed family gatherings in the garage.

William was a dedicated husband, father and papa. He was a member of the Teamsters and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #255 in Plattsburgh.

William is survived by his wife, the former Claudette LePage, whom he married June 22, 1963; his children and their spouses, Amy and Roland Carter of Plattsburgh, Scott and Christina Aubin of Colchester, Vt. and Laurel and Robert Dillon of West Chazy. He is also survived by one brother and a sister-in-law Herbert and Mary Aubin of Plattsburgh; one sister and a brother-in-law Dorothy and Donald LaBonte of Plattsburgh; and seven grandchildren Chad, Genevieve, Zackary, Zoelle, Andrew, Kylie and Erin.

He is predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Robert, and a sister, Ellen Marie.

Calling hours will be Thursday, May 12 and Friday, May 13 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 11 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Church in Treadwells Mills.

Burial will follow in the St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Donations in William’s memory may be made to the H.K. Freedman Renal Center or Hospice of the North Country.

George Sherman

PLATTSBURGH — George Sherman, 59, of Summer Hill Road Plattsburgh passed away at his home on May 9, 2005.

He was born in Guilderland, N.Y. on April 24, 1946, the son of George and Eleanor Sherman.

George graduated from Plattsburgh State University in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduation he took a teaching job in Chateaugay, N.Y. for three years before returning to Plattsburgh State in 1971 to work on a Master of Science degree, which he received in the spring of 1972. He taught social studies for the last 34 years at Beekmantown Central School.

George was passionate about teaching. His students were the focus of his life. He was the social studies department chairman for many years at Beekmantown. His colleagues were also a source of happiness for him.

George loved to write. He worked for the Canadian Studies Center at Plattsburgh State University, and under the direction of Dr. Richard Beach, he published numerous scholarly journal articles and a magazine for teachers called "Teaching Canada." His major work is a textbook entitled "O’ Canada," published in 1999, which is used in high schools today across the U.S.

He is survived by one sister, Peggy Sherman of Westport, N.Y.; a friend of 33 years, Nancy Sherman and many cousins.

A graveside service will be held Friday, May 13, 2005 at 4 p.m. at the Riverside Cemetery, Wadhams, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beekmantown High School at 37 Eagle Way West Chazy N.Y., 12992.

A scholarship fund will be set up.

Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

Patti (Riani) Fisk, 71, formerly of Keeseville, N.Y., died suddenly, May 8, 2005, at Largo, Fla.

She was born on Sept. 9, 1933, in Plattsburgh, the daughter of Louis and Dorothy (Barry) Riani.

Memorial services will be held June 5, 2005, and June 6, 2005, at Largo, Fla.

The Hubbell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Irene M. Dumont, 87, of Ellenburg, died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Ellenburg Depot on June 28, 1917, the daughter of Tuffield and Melvina (Manor) Rabideau.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday from St. Edmund’s Church in Ellenburg. Interment will follow at Whispering Maples Memorial gardens Mausoleum in Ellenburg Depot.

The E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Ellenburg Depot is in charge of arrangements.

MOLLY CRIMMINS, of Logan Lane in Tupper Lake, died Monday, May 9, 2005, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

She was born in 1919, in Northampton, Mass., the daughter of Daniel B. and Helen Sullivan.

Friends are invited to call at Mercy Healthcare Center on Tuesday, May 12, 2005, from 2 to 3 p.m.

A memorial Mass will follow at the Mercy Center at 3 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Kris Lauzon.
