Ormstown, Quebec — Mr. Robert (Bob) Pain, dearly beloved husband of Lillian Ada (nee Sawers) died peacefully in Ormstown, Quebec, on April 30, 2005.

He was born Dec. 16, 1926, in Montreal, Quebec.

Devoted father of Robert Pain Jr. (Norma) of Delta, British Columbia, Ian Paine (Debby) of Ellenburg, N.Y., Stuart Pain (Bonnie) of Dannemora, N.Y., and Laurie Strong (Roger) of Silver Lake, N.Y.; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sister, Norma Jackson.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, May 4 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Rodrigue Montpetit & Fils Inc. Funeral Home, 170 Chateauguay Street, Huntingdon, Quebec. Funeral service will take place at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2005.

THOMPSON — A graveside service for Robert M. Thompson Sr., of Ticonderoga, who passed away Dec. 26, 2004, will take place on Friday, May 6, 2005, at 11:45 a.m. at the family plot of the Valley View Cemetery of Ticonderoga. The Rev. Prudence Bertolino, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Ticonderoga will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home of Ticonderoga.

LAPIERRE — Graveside services for Ruth M. LaPierre, 84, of Academy Street in West Chazy, who died on Feb. 23, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center, will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at 10 a.m. in the West Chazy Rural Cemetery.

The R.W. Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

TROMBLY — Graveside services for Ruth E. Trombly, 91, of Dunn Road in West Chazy, who died on Feb. 20, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center, will be held today, Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at 9 a.m. in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Chazy.

The R.W. Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

TROMBLY — A memorial Mass for Hersey T. Trombly, 90, of Baker Road, West Chazy, who died on Jan. 1, 2005, at his residence, will be held on Monday, May 9, 2005, at 1 p.m. in St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
