Published: 4/23/05Joanne Beverly MalbonMineville, N.Y. — Joanne Beverly Malbon, 61, of Plank Road, Mineville, N.Y., died Thursday, April 21, 2005, at Moses-Ludington Hospital in Ticonderoga, N.Y. She was born May 30, 1943, in Witherbee, N.Y., the daughter of Clifford and Ruby (LaMere) Trombley. Joanne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Rowan Malbon; three sons, David and Gina Malbon of Witherbee, N.Y., Scott and Ann Malbon of Brandon, Vt., and Todd and Tammy Malbon of Mineville, N.Y.; five grandchildren, David Malbon II, Melinda Malbon, Jessica Malbon, Todd Malbon and Kaycee Kolodzey; two brothers, Ronald and Catherine Trombley of Plainville, Conn., and Wayne and Donna Trombley of Torrington, Conn.; three sisters, Barbara and Charles Snay of Southington, Conn., Virginia and Sammuel Rotella of Moriah, N.Y., and Thea and William Armstrong of Mineville, N.Y.; many nieces; nephews; cousins; aunts and uncles. Calling hours will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of All Saints in Mineville, N.Y. Burial will be in the South Moriah Cemetery, Moriah, N.Y. Donations may be made in Joanne's memory to the Town of Moriah Ambulance Squad or to the Ticonderoga Emergency Squad. Valerie D. Cote BoivinPlattsburgh — Valerie D. Cote Boivin, 54, of College Avenue, Plattsburgh, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh after a lengthy illness. She was born in Plattsburgh on Jan. 26, 1951, daughter of Paul E. and Patricia E. (Hughes) Cote. Valerie was born with disabilities; her parents were told by the doctors that she could not live past six months. Valerie was a member of Our Lady of Victory Parish. She was a graduate of Plattsburgh High School and had attended Clinton Community College. Valerie is survived by her husband, Mark D. Boivin of Plattsburgh; they were married on Feb. 10, 1979; her parents, Paul E. and Patricia E. (Hughes) Cote of Plattsburgh; a brother, Lowell Cote and his fiancée, Susan Bishop and her daughter Michelle of Plattsburgh; several aunts; uncles; and many close friends. Calling hours will be Sunday, April 24, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, April 25, 2005, at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of Victory Church with her uncle, Rev. Normand C. Cote, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Jean Peters, 80, of 2812 June St., Albuquerque, N.M., died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid. She was born in Jacksonville, Ill., on April 14, 1925, the daughter of Justin and Viola (Brockhouse) Leib. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Uihlein Mercy Center Chapel, with Rev. Fredrick Dennis, pastor of St. Luke's Church, officiating. Arrangements are with the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. |
