Published: 4/13/05Ronald LeBrunPort Henry — Ronald "Frenchy" LeBrun, 74, of Port Henry, N.Y., died unexpectedly and peacefully on April 4, 2005. He was born in Waterloo, Quebec, on Sept. 7, 1930. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Aime LeBrun (1959) and Midge LeBrun Crandall (2002); and by his brother, Robert LeBrun (2000). He is survived by his son, Robert LeBrun and wife Dorothy and their children Jessica, Rebecca and Robert of Vancouver, British Columbia; and by his daughter, Linda DeSantis and husband Kevin of Ruskin, Fla. He is also survived by his sister, Louise Jones and husband Charles of Port Henry. Ron’s sense of humor and creativity will be missed by those who knew him well. Calling hours will be from 9 to 10 a.m. on April 23, 2005, at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry. A memorial service will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Katherine E. KelleyAuSable Forks — Katherine E. (Pidge) Kelley, 75, of Route 9N AuSable Forks passed into the arm of the Lord Monday, April 11, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. Katherine was born March 21, 1930, in AuSable Forks, the daughter of Albert and Rita Saltmarsh Forbes. She graduated from AuSable Forks Central School in 1947. She was a baker for Santa’s Workshop for five years and was employed at the cafeteria at the AuSable Valley Central School. She was the town judge for the town of AuSable from November 1978 to December 1996. She was one of the two original telephone operators for the AuSable Valley Telephone Company. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her cats and feeding the birds. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Patti Kelley of AuSable Forks and Jeff and Tina Kelley of AuSable Forks; six grandchildren, Travis, Brandon, Shane, Stanley, Bernadette and Christine; two brothers-in-law and two sister-in-law, Everett Kelley, Caroline Kelley, Richard and Sherry Barber; eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and her husband, Paul Kelley. Calling hours will be Wednesday 7 to 9 p.m. at the Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home in AuSable Forks and the funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Holy Name Catholic Church in AuSable Forks. Burial will follow in the Jay Central Cemetery in Jay, N.Y. Memorials can be made to the Keeseville Rescue Service. Susan J. Hemingway, 53, of Eskar Road, West Chazy died on Monday, April 11, 2005, at Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility in Burlington, Vt. She was born in Plattsburgh on March 15, 1952, daughter of Leonard and Margaret (Burnell) Hemingway. Calling hours will be Friday, April 15, 2005, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 15, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Plattsburgh with Rev. Harry Giroux, pastor of St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy officiating. Burial will be on Monday, May 9th at 1:30 p.m. in St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Chazy. William D. Gladd, 71, formerly of Margaret Street, Saranac Lake, died Monday, April 11, 2005, at Albany Medical Center. He was born in Saranac Lake, N.Y., on Aug. 22, 1933, the son of Monroe and Thelma Gladd. Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Thursday, April 14, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Ducatt, officiating. Burial will follow at Franklin Falls Cemetery in Franklin Falls. |
