Published: 4/9/2005Ruth Mae BarnardPlattsburgh — Ruth Mae Barnard, 88, of Tom Miller Road, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2005, at her home. She was born in West Chazy on Oct. 6, 1916, daughter of the late Ross G. and Nora (LaPierre) Ducatte. Ruth was a member of St. Joseph's Ladies Club in Treadwells Mills, a communicant of St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville and she was adept at needlepoint. She had lived in this area all of her life. Ruth is survived by five children, Ronald Mousseau and companion Penny Kendall of Plattsburgh, Deanna and Jack Berry, North Bellmore, Joan and Dick Egbert of Ackworth, Ga., James Mousseau of Tampa, Fla., and John and Darcy Mousseau of Plattsburgh; seven grandchildren, Penny, Kim and Michael, John and Bill, Pam and Chris, Natalie and Maria, Carly and Cynthia; daughter-in-law, Marion Mousseau; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her husbands, Raymond Earl Mousseau and William F. Barnard; two brothers, Harold and Russell; and a half brother, Clifton. Calling hours will be Monday, April 11, 2005, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at 11 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Evelyn PhinneyPort Henry — Evelyn Phinney, formerly of Port Henry, died Thursday, April 7, 2005, at the Horace Nye Nursing Home, surrounded by her family. Evelyn was born in Dewitt, N.Y., on July 20, 1916, the daughter of James (Ray) Winters and Anna (Van Ornum) Winters. She graduated from Williamstown, Vt., high school and Burlington Business College. She married Robert Phinney on Jan. 13, 1934. Evelyn enjoyed family, camping, crafts, genealogy, gardening and being a member of the Moriah United Methodist Women. Evelyn and Robert established and operated Phinny’s Mill in Port Henry for 15 years and the Frostee Freeze ice cream stand in Moriah for 10 years. She also worked at Elizabethtown Community Hospital. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Larry and Jean Phinney of Voorheesville, N.Y., and Ned and Debbie Phinney of Moriah. She is also survived by two sisters, Lula Ware of Valrico, Fla., and Hazel and Tony Eggert of Collamer, N.Y.; sister-in-law Jane Winters; three grandchildren, Barry Denton and wife Laurel, Eric Phinney and Sonja and Craig Johnston; two great-grandchildren, Peyton and Anjoli Johnston. She was predeceased by husband Robert; daughter Judy; sister Joyce Ryan; and brother Ervin Winters. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 11th, at 1 p.m. at the Moriah Methodist Church, Moriah, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Horace Nye home activities, Moriah Ambulance Squad or Moriah United Methodist Women. Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry, is in charge of arrangements. Sandra J. Desrochers, 62, of Runway Drive, died Friday, April 8, 2005, at the home of her daughter on the Military Turnpike in Plattsburgh. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, Dolores Nancy Moses, 63, formerly of Plattsburgh and most recently Pleasant View, Tenn., died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 5, 2005. She was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Dec. 30, 1941, the daughter of Dominic and Doris (Darrah) Belgarde. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, April 12th, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A funeral service conducted by family and friends will follow at 5 p.m. MEMORIAL SERVICES A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, April 16, 2005, at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, Keeseville, for all who died from December 2004 to April 2005 from the parishes of Immaculate Conception and St. John the Baptist of Keeseville. Following the Mass, Monsignor Poissant, pastor, will visit each grave of those being buried, to offer a brief prayer. Immaculate
