Published: 3/24/05Elsie M. ManorPLATTSBURGH — Elsie M. Manor, 73, of Alford Boulevard, died Thursday, March 17, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Plattsburgh on June 21, 1931, the daughter of Edmund and Maryette (Rock) Annis. Elsie married Albert Manor. Albert died in 1981. Mrs. Manor was the Woman's League Homeland Treasurer of the Salvation Army and also a Sunday School Teacher. Survivors include one daughter, Carol Manor of Plattsburgh; one brother, Edmund Annis Jr. of Plattsburgh; three sisters, Margaret Walker of Peru, Etta Farley of Queensbury, N.Y., and Anna Everheart Catskills, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Donald, Floyd, Limewood and Theodore Annis; three sisters, Mildred Rock, Loretta Annis and Shirley Keysor. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel, with a reception to follow at the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Keeseville. Burial will be at a later date in Ingraham Cemetery in Chazy. Memorial donations may be made to the family. Margaret Elaine (Tyler) Norton, 91, died at the Horace Nye Nursing Home Tuesday, March 22, 2005. She was born in Lewis, Dec. 16, 1913, the daughter of Robert and May (Bouchard) Tyler. A more detailed notice will follow. W.M. Marvin's Sons, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Margaret Marion Cromp, 85, of Burchacon Apartments, Chateaugay died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at her home. She was born in Malone, N.Y., on March 22, 1919, the daughter of Roy and Lillian (LaFountain) LaBuff. Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Friday, March 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Eleanor Bellows officiating. Spring burial will take place at Bellmont Cemetery in Bellmont. Mary S, Boyer, 85, of Webster Street, Malone, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, where she had been a patient since March 11, 2005. She was born in DuBois, Pa., on May 4, 1919, the daughter of the late Alex and Natalie Venarchik Sedor. Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 29th, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will immediately follow at l0 a.m. in Notre Dame Church in Malone. Burial will be in the parish cemetery later in the spring. Daniel L. Adams, 53, of Broadway Road, Plattsburgh, after a long battle with colon cancer, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at his home with his wife and two daughters at his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on June 22, 1951, to Edward and Ruth Adams. Calling hours will be on Sunday, March 27, 2005, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 28, 2005, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be later in the year in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh. |
