Published: 3/23/05Danne F. GerouxPlattsburgh — Danne F. Geroux, of Plattsburgh, died Monday, March 21, 2005, at Fletcher-Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt. He was born in Plattsburgh on Nov. 27, 1960, the son of Frank and Doris (Martino) Geroux. He was employed as a graphic designer and computer operator at Northeast Printing for many years and was also a D.J. in the community for many years. He is survived by his daughter, Noelle M. Geroux of Plattsburgh; his fiancée, Susan Carlson of Plattsburgh; his mother, Doris M. Dube of Plattsburgh; a brother, David Geroux of Fayetteville, N.C.; two sisters, Barbara Ross of Greenfield, Ohio, and Ellen Fazio of Alcove, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. His father, Frank Geroux died earlier. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the O'Neill - Redden - Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Donations in his memory may be made to the family. Michael R. MorinCOLCHESTER, VT — Michael R. Morin, 62, of Colchester, Vt., died peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, March 21, 2005, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt. He was born in Hanover, N.H., on April 1, 1942, the son of Gilles and Lucille (LaMotte) Morin. Michael graduated from Massena High School in 1960 and Oswego State University in 1969. He served his country in the U.S. Navy prior to becoming a high school teacher and coach in Colchester, Vt. For the last 12 years he was working as a general contractor in the Burlington area. He is survived by his two children, Eric Morin of Brunswick, Maine, and Jessica Morin of Colchester; and their mother, Susan Morin of Colchester; his parents, Gilles and Lucille Morin of Burlington; a sister, Carol Girardi and her husband Joseph of Peru, N.Y.; a brother, Greg Morin and his wife Peg of Chesapeake, Va.; two nieces, Johnna Willer and Jennifer Outen and their families of Peru, N.Y.; and by his close friend, Jean Bruno of Colchester. Visiting hours will be held today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ready Funeral & Cremation Service Mountain View Chapel, 68 Pinecrest Drive, Essex Junction. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 24, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 47 Church Road, Colchester. To send on-line condolences please visit www.readyfuneral.com. Michael Ernest ClicheONEONTA, N.Y. — Michael Ernest Cliche, 54, of Oneonta passed away, Sunday, March 20, 2005 at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital, Oneonta. He was born July 3, 1950, in St. Johnsbury, Vt., the son of Dennis Cliche and Gertrude (Chouquette) Cliche Beddie. He married Marilyn Trombley on Jan. 31, 1970, in Mineville, N.Y. Mike drove truck for Agway until his illness forced him to stop. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed the sports of hunting, fishing and car racing. Known as "the jack of all trades", Mike was also a skilled carpenter and mechanic. He was a member of the National Riffle Association. Mike was a loving and devoted father and was very fond of spending time with his family and friends. He was a friend to many and was always eager to lend a helping hand. He will be sadly missed by all that know him. The family cannot adequately express their appreciation for the care by all Mike's family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Cliche of Mineville; his loving son, Jeremy Cliche of Oneonta; his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Robert Cliche and his fiancée Dorothy Whitcher of St. Johnsbury, Vt., Philip and Gloria Cliche of Waterford, Vt., Diane (Cliche) Florence of St. Johnsbury, Vt., Brian Beddie of St. Johnsbury, Vt., Paul and Sandy Beddie of Bennington, Vt., Linda and Cliff Ozzidi-Ombe of Edison, N.J., and William Beddie of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael was predeceased by his son, Glenn Cliche; his father, Dennis Cliche; his mother, Gertrude Beddie; his stepfather, Richard Beddie; his brother, Jimmy Lawrence Beddie; and his mother-in- law, Elsie Trombley. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 28, at 12 noon in the Church of All Saints, Mineville, N.Y. Burial will be held in the spring in the St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Moriah. Susan Kay (Hall) McQueenPERU — Susan Kay Hall passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 16, 2005. She was born in Washington, Ind., on Aug. 11, 1945. She graduated from Highlands High and married upon graduation. She is survived by her three daughters, Carrie Brashear of Peru, Christine Brashear of California and Cheryl and Eric Lange of Peru; three grandchildren, Shelbi Beck of California, Haeleigh and Ethan Lange of Peru; her mom, Sybil McQueen of Peru; three brother and one sister; and her second husband, Kenneth J. Hall of DeKalb, N.Y. She is predeceased by her father, William James McQueen. She was a bus driver for many years at Peru Central School and loved all the kids she drove for. As well as the many friends she made at the bus garage. In the time she lived in New York, she had many animals whom she found or more so than often, found her. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April, 2, 2005, at the Harkness Methodist Church at 1 p.m. Margaret M. Cromp, 85, of Burchacon Apartments, Chateaugay died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at her home. She was born in Malone on March 23, 1919, the daughter of Roy and Lillian (LaFountain) LaBuff. Arrangements are incomplete through the Chateaugay Funeral Home. Robert Francis Troy, 77, of Granville, N.Y., died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at the Orchard Nursing Centre. Robert was born on Feb. 19, 1928, in Poultney, Vt., son of the late Edward and Loretta (Parry) Troy. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
