Mary Walderon

Peoria, Ill. — Mary M. Walderon, 48, of Peoria, Ill., died at 12:51 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born July 5, 1956, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., to Herbert and Clara (St. John) Ducharme.

She married Vernon C. WaIderon Jr. on Sept. 10, 1976, in Plattsburgh; he survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Carrie (and Nathan) Stevens of Montrose, Mich.; one son, Vernon III, at home; four grandchildren; one brother, Dennis Ducharme of West Chazy, N.Y.; and her mother of West Chazy.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She was a member of El Vista Baptist Church in Peoria.

Evening visitation took place at the El Vista Baptist Church with services on Saturday, Feb. 5, at the church. The Revs. Joey Watt and Scott Baker officiated at the service. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.

Arrangements were with the Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the El Vista Baptist Church Missions or El Vista Baptist Church Bus Ministry.

Ruth D. Davis

Peru — Ruth D. Davis, 90, of Route 22, Peru, died peacefully Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at her home.

She was born in Moira, May 1, 1914, the daughter of Hiram Benson and Lydia (Bigelow) Drake.

She was a teacher at Peru Central School for many years.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Glenn Gallagher of Peru; and nine nieces and nephews, Sharon Rockhill, John "Jack" McKane, Charles "Chuck" McKane, Joan Pelkey, Robert Drake, Verne Davis, Nancy Orton, Ruth Pasqualle and Susan Chocianowski.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her husband, Kenneth F. Davis, Jan. 20, 1997; a brother, Raymond W. Drake; and two sisters, Marion W. Drake and Gladys D. McKane.

Calling hours will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Peru Community Church with Rev. Dr. Robert Svenson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the Port Douglas Cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Peru Community Church or Hospice of the North Country.

Nora Marie Lakers, 67, of Banker Road, Plattsburgh, died Thursday, March 17, 2005, at her home.

She was born in Saranac on April 23, 1937, daughter of the late Edward and Addie Macey.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. from St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville.
