Published: 02/26/05George PatenaudeClifton Park, N.Y. — George Patenaude, 89, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Maplewood Manor Nursing Facility in Ballston Spa. He was born on Nov. 21, 1915, in Sweetsburgh, Canada, the son of the late Laurent and Albina (Chausse) Patenaude. He had worked as a comptroller for many hotels throughout his life. He was a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park. Survived by his wife Mary (Miner) Patenaude of Clifton Park; five daughters, Micheline and Anne Patenaude, Lucie Verbois, Gemma Galliher and Lisa Coffey; six sons, Michael, Carl, Paul, Daniel, Bruce and Gilbert Patenaude; a sister, Simonne Marsolais; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian death will be celebrated on Saturday, March 5, 2005, at 9 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church. Burial will be at a later date in Redford, N.Y. "Butler" Collins, 62, of Plank Road, Ellenburg Depot, passed away with family by his side Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany. He was born in Plattsburgh on April 9, 1942, the son of Wilmer and Bessie (Blake) Collins. He is survived by his wife, Candy Collins; a stepson, Charlie Senecal and his wife Wendy of Schuyler Falls; a stepdaughter, Tonia Senecal and her companion Danny Hendrie of Plattsburgh; a daughter, Mrs. James (Lisa) Nelson of Plattsburgh; two sons, Stephen M. Collins of Plattsburgh and Richard (Rick) Casey of Pennsylvania; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Gladys D’Aust of Schuyler Falls; four sisters, Betty Senecal of Plattsburgh, Loretta Rock of Peasleeville, Maxie Hemmingway of Plattsburgh and Patsy Blake of West Bountiful, Utah; two brothers, Kenny Collins of Plattsburgh and Mr. and Mrs. Daryl (Fuzzy) Collins of Morrisonville; a granddaughter, Brittney; six grandsons, Daniel, Charles, Seth, Jonah, Matthew and Jordan; as well as extended family and good friends. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, camping and taking care of his pets. Stephen served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War. There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Ellenburg Depot at a time to be announced. Memorial donations may be made to his wife. Cecile H. LafountainMooers Forks — Cecile H. Lafountain, 92, of Mooers Forks, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Mooers on Oct. 21, 1912, the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Rabideau) Bosley. She was employed at the Mooers Slipper Factory and later at the Champlain Lamp Factory for many years. She was a member of St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks, the Ladies of St. Ann and the West Chazy Senior Citizen's Club. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, daughter and spouse Shirley and Gilbert Rabideau of Mooers Forks, her grandson and spouse Greg and Starr Rabideau and great - granddaughters Carissa and Kylie of Plattsburgh, her grandson and spouse Kevin and Carol Rabideau and great - granddaughter Katie of Plattsburgh, her grandson and spouse Jeff and Abbie Rabideau and great - granddaughter Morgan of Morrisonville, great - grandsons Jesse and Josh of Richmond, Va., her grandson and spouse Scott and Mame Rabideau of Rouses Point, her granddaughter and spouse Leann and Chris Gowette and great-granddaughter Sierra of Plattsburgh, daughter and spouse Doris and Timothy Sheridan of Caro, Mich., her grandson and spouse Tim and Sally Sheridan, great-granddaughters Samantha, Stephanie, Sara Shannon, great-grandson T.J., great-granddaughter and spouse Elizabeth and Tim Gross and great-great-granddaughter Laila, all of Reese, Mich., granddaughter and spouse Michelle and Larry Whittaker and great - granddaughters Tara and Leah of Cass City, Mich., granddaughter Danielle and Brian Lavery and great - granddaughters Maggie and Molly of Deford, Mich., and grandson Philip Sheridan of Caro, Mich. Her husband, Leo Lafountain, died Dec. 16, 1965. Three brothers and two sisters also died earlier. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday from St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Mooers Fire department or the Mooers Rescue Squad. Lucy M. Papa, 85, of Peru Street, Plattsburgh, passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born at home at 32 Charlotte St., Plattsburgh, on April 18, 1919, the daughter of Aniello and Catherine (Negro) Papa. There will be no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, March 5, 2005, from St. John's Church. Interment will be at a later date in the family plot at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. Herman Rock, 76, of Shingle Street, Morrisonville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Cadyville on Sept. 1, 1928, son of the late George and Mabel (Rock) Rock. A memorial Mass will be held Monday, Feb. 28th, at 10 a.m. from St. James Church in Cadyville. Arrangements are with the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. |
